Survey Research On The Comprehensive National Defense Quality Of High Vocational College Students

Improving the comprehensive national defense quality of students is not only a key part of the task to carry out morality education but is also an action to meet the requirement of the reform of national defense education in colleges in the new era.In the current context of higher vocational enrollment expansion,it is particularly important to study the comprehensive national defense quality of higher vocational students.First,the sources on which this research is based include the policies,regulations,syllabus,and other texts,regarding the national defense education in universities and colleges.With the steps of index extraction,filter,etc.,this study uses content analysis method to establish a preliminary evaluation index system for the comprehensive national defense quality of college students.Second,based on the given evaluation index system,the Questionnaire on the Comprehensive National Defense Quality of High Vocational Students was made,and the students of H University were selected as the survey objects.Here are what the result suggests:First,The "national defense concepts" and "national defense emotions" of the students in H University are at a high level;The"national defense knowledge" and "national defense skills" are obviously at a comparatively low level;The "national defense physical and mental quality" is slightly below the standard required.Second,students of different backgrounds in H University have different levels of the comprehensive national defense quality in some specific dimensions:Male students have notably better"national defense physical and mental quality" than female students in terms of gender divergence and there’s no significant difference in other aspects;The difference between students of different grades is reflected in the aspect of "national defense knowledge" and there’s no significant difference in other aspects;The difference between students of different majors is reflected in the aspect of"national defense physical and mental quality" and there’s no significant difference in other aspects;In terms of the difference between students who are ex-servicemen and students who aren’t,students who are ex-servicemen got notably higher points in all dimensions than students who had never joined the military.Finally,combined with interviews,this study analyzes the reasons for the problems of students’ comprehensive national defense quality in H University,and countermeasures and suggestions for improving the comprehensive national defense quality of high vocational students are proposed.
