| As a core curriculum for tourism majors,Tour Guide Practice is important to cultivate human resources with a quality structure that combines knowledge,ability and emotion.And its cultivation ability will determine the quality of tour guide service.Although the traditional teaching methods provide students with knowledge and skills,it neglects the cultivation of students’ emotion to a certain extent.Compared with traditional teaching,scaffolding instruction focuses on context creation,emphasizes on decomposing complex learning contents according to students’ current level before teaching,and gradually transfers learning tasks to students with the help of scaffolding.Practical research has confirmed that scaffolded teaching plays a positive role in students’ understanding of knowledge,improvement of skill operation level and the cultivation of emotional quality.Therefore,this research uses tourism majors in secondary technical vocational school as the study participants and combines scaffolding instruction with Tour Guide Practice course,proposing the scaffolded instructional design process based on course training objectives.The research content is as follows.(1)The research basis is clarified.The research background and significance of this paper are clarified through literature study,and the research content and research methods are determined according to the current status of research,the concept and characteristics of scaffolding instruction are clarified,and the theoretical support of scaffolding instruction is summarized.(2)Analyzing the suitability of scaffolding instruction to the Tour Guide Practice course in Secondary Vocational Schools.Based on the characteristics of scaffolding instruction such as dependency,interaction and practice,and according to the objectives,contents and characteristics of the course Tour Guide Practice,it is considered that scaffolding instruction meets the needs of teachers’ teaching,and meets the requirements that course teaching needs to combine specific situations,focus on the connection of knowledge and carry out corresponding practical activities.(3)Constructing the scaffolding instruction design process of Tour Guide Practice course in Secondary Vocational Schools.Based on the feasibility,teaching practice and course content analysis,the principles and criteria of scaffolded teaching design and the teaching scaffolds applicable to the course are proposed,and the scaffolding instruction design process adapted to the Tour Guide Practice course in Secondary Vocational Schools is proposed according to the teaching principles and criteria.(4)Conducting research on the application of scaffolding instruction.Taking The Essentials of Field Guide Explanation Process and Handling of Special Dietary Requirements of Tourists as examples,the teaching design was carried out according to the scaffolding instruction design process and applied to the classroom teaching of the experimental class,using SPSS 23.0 to conduct paired-sample t-test on students’ theoretical test scores,ROST CM6 to analyze students’ interview content,and Excel to analyze students’ skill test scores.The scaffolding instruction facilitated the development of students’ theoretical knowledge,practical skills and the cultivation of students’ emotions.(5)Summarize the application suggestions of scaffolding instruction.The analysis of classroom observations and students’ feedback shows that scaffolding instruction plays a positive role in improving classroom efficiency and enhancing students’ motivation,but there are still some shortcomings.In response to the shortcomings,improvement strategies such as cultivating active learning,optimizing classroom supervision,and focusing on industry examples for context creation are proposed. |
