Ancient poetry is the precious wealth handed down by the Chinese nation for thousands of years.It contains rich literary value and educational value,and is of great value to the aesthetic development,moral cultivation,emotional experience and spiritual enrichment of primary school students.Ancient poetry teaching has the educational functions of developing students’ language ability,promoting the development of higher order thinking such as critical thinking and creativity,and cultivating students’ cultural sentiment.Therefore,it has become an important part of Chinese teaching in primary schools.With the development of the new round of basic education reform in China,Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education in 2011 also clearly stated that primary school Chinese curriculum should focus on guiding students’ language accumulation and developing students’ thinking.The simplicity of the ancient poems plays an important role in the language accumulation and thinking training of students,and it is also extremely important to improve the Chinese literacy of students.However,in the current teaching of ancient poetry in primary school,students generally have the phenomenon of superficial learning and inadequate subjectivity,so that students can not understand the deep meaning behind the ancient poetry text,which makes the original educational function of ancient poetry teaching difficult to show.Deep learning focuses on the learning process of students,attaches importance to the learning value of students,emphasizes the development of students’ thinking,and emphasizes whether students are active knowledge receivers or knowledge winners who actively participate in learning with all their heart.Therefore,this research studied in depth,under the perspective of Chinese ancient poetry for elementary school students learning quality review,investigate the elementary school higher grades students’ Chinese classical depth study of the status quo,found that the existing problems and discussed the cause of the problems,and accordingly puts forward countermeasures for the deep study of the classical poetry can promote students,for improving the quality of the elementary school higher grades students’ Chinese classical poetry study for reference.This paper takes Y Primary School in Zibo City as an example to conduct investigation and research.The research objects are 300 students in the fifth and sixth grades of the primary school and 8 Chinese teachers in the surveyed class.The method of questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation is used.This paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of deep learning of ancient Chinese poetry among senior primary school students,finds out the problems existing in the deep learning of ancient Chinese poetry for senior primary school students,analyzes their causes,and further proposes corresponding solutions.By analyzing the results of the corresponding research studies,this study concludes the following:(1)The overall level of in-depth learning of ancient poems in language for upper primary school students was average.(2)There were differences in the level of in-depth learning of ancient poems among students of different language achievement levels.(3)Teachers’ one-sided understanding of deep learning is an important reason for the average level of students’ deep learning of ancient poems.(4)Inappropriate teaching practices for deep learning of ancient poems,resulting in a tendency for students to learn ancient poems in a superficial manner.(5)The tendency for students to rely excessively on teachers’ explanations and to take in the whole picture and be superficial in their learning of ancient poetry.Based on the above conclusions,the following corresponding countermeasures are proposed:(1)Strengthening teacher training and raising teachers’ awareness of deep learning theory are prerequisites for ensuring that students’ deep learning is realised.(2)Setting teaching objectives that point to deep learning of ancient poetry and guiding students to deep processing of knowledge.(3)Carefully designing the teaching content to guide students to achieve transfer and application.(4)Creating a variety of activities for learning ancient poems,guiding students to explore them in depth through activities and experiences.(5)Emphasis on process assessment,giving students timely feedback on their learning and guiding them to self-evaluate and reflect.(6)Create challenging learning tasks to enhance students’ learning initiatives.
