Nowadays,it has become a new direction of teaching development at home and abroad to organically integrate the related contents within or between units according to the perspective of units or domains, and to promote the organization of teaching with structured teaching contents and teaching links, while the difficulty of overall unit teaching now is what to use as the connection point of unit integration teaching.A large number of studies have shown that the selection of highly transferable "higher" or "upper" concepts can help to link important knowledge within the discipline in order to achieve coherence within the discipline. Therefore, the selection of core mathematical concepts is one of the tasks of this study. In front-line teaching, students tend to have superficial mathematical thinking and poor transferability, one of the reasons is that they do not have a coherent cognitive structure in their minds. The analysis of a large number of core concepts and cognitive structures in mathematics shows that core concepts in mathematics are fundamental and growth-oriented,which can not only reflect the essence and formation process of knowledge, but also have the role of unifying other mathematical concepts and knowledge. It also enables students to experience the process of knowledge formation and promote the internalization of knowledge structures, which prolongs the life of knowledge. Therefore, this study will make suggestions around how to lead the teaching and learning of elementary mathematics through core concepts. From the existing studies, the research on the core concepts of mathematics is mostly focused on the middle and high school levels,so this study takes the core concepts of elementary school mathematics as the research object, firstly, using the literature analysis method to summarize the connotation of the core concepts of mathematics and their relationship with the cognitive structure, and secondly, using the text analysis method to extract the core concepts independently from the textbook and compare them with the core concepts embodied in the teaching process of famous teachers to summarize the horizontal and vertical The textual analysis method was used to extract the core concepts from the textbook and compare them with the core concepts reflected in the teaching process of the master teachers, and to summarize the horizontal and vertical extraction. Finally,we used case studies to analyze the two important areas of elementary school mathematics,"Number and Algebra" and "Graphs and Geometry",and selected the cases of three master teachers,Liu Song,"Knowing Times",Qiang Zhenqiu,"Volume and Volume Units",and Luo Mingliang,"Volume of Rectangular Body",as the main contents of the study.Through summarizing and comparing the examples of the master teachers,we propose suggestions and inspirations for teaching with core concepts from three aspects:lesson preparation, teaching and practice.
