| The comprehensive reform of college entrance examination is a major deployment made by the Party Central Committee and The State Council with an eye to the overall situation of socialist modernization.In September 2014,The State Council issued the Implementation Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Examination and Enrollment System(referred to as the Opinions),which kicked off a new round of college entrance examination reform.Gansu province will enter the new college entrance examination in the autumn of 2021,which not only challenges the teaching of chemistry in middle schools,but also puts forward requirements for education authorities,schools,teachers and students.This paper investigated the current situation and challenges of chemistry teaching in high school under the new college entrance examination subject selection mode,and put forward some countermeasures and suggestions for chemistry teaching in high school under the new college entrance examination subject selection mode in Gansu Province.By means of questionnaire and interview,the main challenges faced by high school chemistry teaching in gansu province under the new college entrance examination subject selection mode are investigated.On the one hand,teachers and students blindly select subjects due to their insufficient understanding of the new college entrance examination;On the other hand,there are new problems arising from students’ course selection,including insufficient teaching hardware resources,lack of professional teachers,increased pressure on teachers’ workload and teaching schedule,and imperfect teaching evaluation system.In view of the challenges,countermeasures are put forward from the following aspects: 1.Education authorities should improve the publicity of the new college entrance examination,and investigate the teaching hardware and software facilities of schools within the jurisdiction,and fully mobilize the educational resources after optimizing the allocation of resources.2.Schools should organize more lectures on the selection of subjects for the new college entrance examination and career planning,and make full use of the relationship between teachers,parents and students to form "home-school synergy" to guide students in career planning.3.Chemistry teachers should take the initiative to participate in teaching and research activities and constantly improve their professional quality and chemistry teaching quality,so as to attract more students to choose chemistry.4.Students should take the initiative to collect information about the new college entrance examination and career planning,objectively understand the subject of chemistry,and enhance their interest and initiative in learning the subject of chemistry.5.Parents should change their ideas in time and respect students’ choices in communication.In short,in the implementation process of the new college entrance examination,all parties should actively cooperate with the new college entrance examination.Chemistry teachers and students should take the initiative to seize the opportunity,strive to improve their own quality,and calmly cope with the challenges.In short,in the implementation process of the new college entrance examination,all parties should actively cooperate with the new college entrance examination.Chemistry teachers and students should take the initiative to seize the opportunity,strive to improve their own quality,and calmly cope with the challenges. |
