| In recent years,the government has increased the support for vocational education,paying attention to and advocating the development of vocational education.Vocational colleges and general education have the same important status,and both are facing good market development prospects.However,at the same time,the competition among higher vocational colleges is becoming increasingly fierce.How to effectively improve the core competitiveness is very important for the sustainable and healthy development of higher vocational colleges.In this paper,X Higher Vocational and Technical College,a public vocational college in Jiangxi Province,is selected as a specific case to deeply analyze the current situation and promotion strategies of its core competitiveness,so as to provide necessary reference for higher vocational colleges to effectively improve their core competitiveness.This paper makes full use of the theory and literature research on the core competitiveness of higher vocational colleges,and comprehensively evaluates and analyzes the core competitiveness of X Higher vocational and technical College from five dimensions,including campus culture,major setting and talent training mode,faculty,internal management and employment guidance.Then,the internal and external environment of X Higher Vocational and technical College is analyzed,and the advantages and disadvantages of the internal environment are summarized,as well as the opportunities and challenges of the external environment.The results are as follows:First,the opportunities are strongly supported by the state,the increase of per capita disposable income,the lack of skilled talents and the development of science and technology;Second,there is fierce competition among similar schools,substitutes such as ordinary high schools scramble for students,suppliers have stronger bargaining power,and employers have higher requirements on graduates’ ability.Third,the advantage lies in the long running time,all the staff unity and endeavour,the graduate employment rate is high;Fourth,the disadvantages are unreasonable professional setting,imperfect teacher team structure,difficult recruitment,lack of training mechanism,etc.Then with the aid of analytic hierarchy process(ahp),internal and external environment such as strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and challenges of the factors,matrix analysis,to determine the specific weight of different factors,and through the QSPM matrix analysis,found that higher vocational colleges should adopt X ST strategy,namely advantage for targeted to strengthen,and further reduce or even eliminate disadvantage,In this way,we can resist all kinds of possible external threats and achieve more stable development.Finally,combined with the case study results,to improve the core competitiveness in higher vocational colleges,respectively from the enterprise culture,professional structure and training mode,teachers construction,the internal management level,employment service and the five dimensions,put forward concrete countermeasures and Suggestions,to form the core competitiveness in higher vocational colleges,provide some guidance and reference. |
