With the implementation of China’s "double reduction" policy,using popular science education can provide support for after-class services in primary and secondary schools and promote the development of students’ scientific literacy has become a focus of current research.Popular Science TV program is an important form of non-formal Science Education.It is a major trend to explore the promotion effect of popular science TV programs on school education at home and abroad.In order to effectively use popular science TV programs to promote the implementation of the policy of "double reduction" and promote the development of students’ disciplinary core literacy,it is necessary to investigate the current situation of the application of popular science TV programs by physics teachers,sort out the physics teaching resources contained in popular science TV programs,and develop cases of the integration of teaching resources and physics teaching.This research includes two parts: current situation investigation and practice research.The investigation of the current situation of TV program resources for the application of popular science by middle school physics teachers is carried out from three dimensions: program awareness,development awareness and application.Fifty-one physics teachers from four different schools in F city and Z City are taken as the investigation objects.The findings are as follows: 1.Teachers have a high recognition of popular science TV programs,but lack of understanding of them;2.Teachers have high recognition of physics teaching resources such as experimental resources,history of science,inquiry questions and teaching ideas and methods reflected in the communication skills of popular science TV programs;3.In the application of popular science TV program resources,teachers mainly focus on simple application,ignoring various application methods such as making full use of popular science TV program resources to carry out inquiry learning.In the practical research direction,68 popular science TV programs at home and abroad are divided into three kinds of popular science TV programs: history of physics,physics experiment and physics principle based on the problems reflected in the investigation,and a popular science TV program resource bank is formed for teachers’ reference.Then we screened and sorted out the physics teaching resources in six representative popular science TV programs: Think Like a Crow,My Newton Coach,A Journey through Space and Time,The Story of Electricity,Secrets of Science and Big Science Experiment.Three kinds of popular science TV program physics teaching resource libraries have been formed: physics experiment resource library,science history resource library and inquiry question resource library for teachers’ reference.Then,based on 8 teaching cases,this paper discusses the application method of deep integration of physics teaching resources in popular science TV program and each link of physics teaching,and puts forward three suggestions on the application of popular science TV program resources.Finally,this paper analyzes the communication skills of popular science TV programs from the perspective of communication science,and on this basis puts forward the enlightenment to physics teaching.
