Education reform is a policy to promote all-round quality education, improve the quality of education and cultivate high-quality builders and successors of socialist modernization around the Party’s education policy. In order to improve the quality of education,we need to pay attention to two aspects: first, teachers’ teaching efficiency;Second, students’ learning effect. To some extent, the formation of modeling thinking can enhance teachers’ teaching efficiency and improve students’ learning effect as well. The 2017 general high school chemistry curriculum standard proposes the subject quality of "evidence reasoning and model cognition".Modeling teaching can specialize, visualize and simplify abstract, obscure, difficult and other problems. There are many kinds of models, including physical model, mind mapping model, problem solving model, etc.,among which the problem solving model can help students turn difficult questions into easy ones, cultivate students’ thinking in chemistry learning, and help improve students’ academic performance in chemistry in the college entrance examination. This thesis summarizes domestic and foreign researches on models and modeling thinking, and clarifies the purpose, significance, content and methods of the research.Based on Piaget’s theory of cognitive development,Bruner’s structuralism and constructivism, this thesis studies teachers’ and students’ cognition and expectation of modeling teaching through questionnaire survey. The survey indicates that local teachers have a certain understanding of modeling teaching, but the frequency of using it is not high. For modeling teaching, most senior three students know physical model, semantic model, mathematical model, image model, etc.,but know little about problem-solving modeling, and have expectations for modeling problem-solving teaching.Based on this, this thesis proposes two principles of modeling problem solving: simplicity and flexibility; The key steps of modeling and solving problems are as follows: key knowledge-teaching material model-model construction-model application-model reconstruction.Several problem-solving models in case teaching are summarized in graphic form to help students imitate and learn. To test the effect of problem-solving teaching in senior three chemistry review lessons, through the investigation of difficult projects during students’ reviewing process, the author picks out the suitable projects for problem-solving modeling, and designs three problem-solving model cases: writing of strange oxidation-reduction reactions, electrochemistry, process flow, and the cases are applied to the teaching practice. This study shows that the application of problem-solving modeling in the review lessons of senior three has great attraction for students, which can help students sort out the information of the topic and simplify the difficult problems. The experiment reveals that modeling problem-solving teaching can improve students’ learning enthusiasm, learning efficiency and academic performance.Because of the limited research time, the lack of research tools, the limitations of research objects and the lack of researchers’ own ability, the problem-solving modeling principles, steps and case models proposed in this study need to be further improved and perfected, and the conclusions obtained need to be further verified in subsequent teaching practice.
