In the higher education structure of Guizhou Province,the provincial general undergraduate universities represent the highest level of higher education development in the province.Although the provincial undergraduate colleges and universities have achieved leapfrog development since the "13th Five-Year",there are still some problems,such as low level of teaching management,low overall level of teachers,weak style of study,unreasonable professional structure,imperfect teaching quality assurance and monitoring system,which restrict the development of provincial undergraduate Colleges and universities.The key to improve the quality of higher education is to improve teaching ability.From the perspective of provincial education administrative departments,this paper uses university governance theory and internal governance theory to determine the analysis framework.The research on teaching ability is mainly carried out from the following five dimensions: teaching management,teachers’ teaching,university management,style of study construction,and professional setting.Secondly,through literature research,comparative analysis and statistical analysis,this paper combs the current situation and achievements of the teaching ability of colleges and universities in the province,and clarifies the current situation and advantages of the teaching ability of provincial undergraduate colleges and universities.In addition,this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the problems and causes of the teaching ability of provincial undergraduate colleges and universities with empirical examples,and obtains the crux of the development of teaching ability.Finally,referring to the ways of improving teaching ability of colleges and universities at different levels in other provinces and regions,this paper explores and puts forward the countermeasures to improve the teaching ability of colleges and universities in our province.This paper makes an in-depth study on the teaching ability of provincial undergraduate colleges and universities,which helps to clarify the problems and difficulties faced by the teaching ability of provincial undergraduate colleges and universities,further optimize the discipline and specialty structure and talent training structure,so as to promote the further development of higher education at a higher level and with higher quality in our province,and promote the high-quality development of higher education in our province during the “14th Five-Year Plan”.It provides more powerful talent support and intellectual support for our province to focus on "four modernizations" around "four news" and implement the three strategic actions of rural revitalization,big data and big ecology.
