In recent years,China has increased policy support for families with subsistence allowances,established a social security and care system for children with subsistence allowances,and provided them with assistance in housing,medical treatment,and education through the attachment of subsistence allowances,to help them get rid of their development difficulties.Due to their special family background,most children from rural subsistence families lack a good learning attitude,lack of interest in learning,lack of necessary learning motivation and strong learning ability,which are important factors affecting their academic level.The problems faced by low-income children are diverse,and they are under-resourced and less able to cope with social challenges.When they dealing with social challenges,they have insufficient resources and weak coping abilities.Therefore,the intervention of social work can integrate resources and realize the transmission of social services,to better meet the development needs of children with minimum living security.This study made full use of professional social work methods and techniques to conduct a pre-test and post-test of the academic status of underprivileged children in rural areas based on a general literature review of the academic status of underprivileged children,using questionnaire,interview and scale methods,and explores the reasons;Based on the survey data of the hope primary school in M village,this thesis makes an empirical analysis on the influencing factors of the academic level of the minimum living standard children by using the statistical software Stata version 16.0.Through empirical analysis,it is found that that the academic level of the minimum living standard children is lower than that of the non minimum living standard students,among which the factors of learning interest,degree of advantage,level of resilience,parents’ company and whether to be a class cadre significantly affect the academic level of the minimum living standard children;According to the empirical conclusion,this thesis carries out practice with the group working method.According to a series of problems they face in their growth,this thesis adopts targeted group intervention to overcome them one by one,find their advantages in group activities,find their interest in learning,modify learning methods,Improve stress resistance,and help each other with group members,Finally achieve the improvement of academic level.Finally,the author evaluates and reflects on the whole group activity process.
