Children are the pillars of the country's future, but children themselves are vulnerable groups in society and are vulnerable to the environment.Children from low-income families,in particular, have different levels of education, family relationships, personal and physical development, social life and social participation due to family economic difficulties. The impact of it is easy to produce mental health problems,of which the lack of self-confidence is particularly obvious.Through the measurement of the self-confidence scale, the self-confidence of children in low-rent housing communities is mostly lower than the normal value of 65 points, and there is a widespread problem of insufficient self-confidence.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to explore the effect of group work methods of social work on children self-confidence in low-income families. This paper uses the Children Self-confidence Scale to investigate children in low-rent housing communities and children in ordinary communities, and analyzes the differences in self-confidence between the two groups, and explores low-income families from the individual level, family level and social level. The reasons for lack of self-confidence,and the needs of children self-confidence in low-income families are evaluated from the four dimensions of self-evaluation,self-efficacy,sense of accomplishment and self-expression.Based on the above analysis, the specific intervention plan for the group work was designed.Twenty children from the low-rent housing community were divided into two groups, which were used as the experimental group and the control group respectively. The experimental stimulation was only carried out for the experimental group—that is,the organization was carried out six times. The group activities, and the post-test of the experimental group and the control group, the team work was evaluated. The involvement of the group work has achieved certain results, and to a certain extent, has helped children in low-income families to improve their self-confidence.
