The primary school teaching space is regarded as the "third teacher" in addition to teachers and classmates by Reggio Emilia’s educational philosophy. The school space has a subtle and far-reaching influence on students. In the process of its development, due to the influence of educational concepts, urban environment restrictions and economic policies in different periods, its development presents phased characteristics. Therefore,in the face of the new stage of educational development in China, the research on the teaching modules, teaching space organization, and Internal and external space integration of the current primary school teaching space is an expansion of the existing primary and secondary school design research, which is of great significance to the basic education space design research. At this stage, the reform of teaching space and the intensive design of primary and secondary schools mainly summarize and summarize the design strategies by collecting and analyzing cases. The domestic research methods of teaching space are mostly qualitative research methods such as typology, and there is a lack of quantitative research methods.Intensive design research is relatively blank.Taking primary schools in urban residential areas as the starting point, this paper applies typology, space syntax and interdisciplinary research methods, and aims to explore the intensive design strategies for residential primary schools that meet educational needs.Firstly,by sorting out the domestic primary education and primary school teaching space in stages, and summarizing the land use problems, development trends, and restricting development factors. This paper takes the residential area equipped primary school in Dalian as an example to carry out the research and analyze the current situation of land use and teaching space. Then, based on the existing new practice achievements of educational reform in domestic and foreign,in the order from micro to macro, this paper studies the design strategies of teaching module, teaching space organization and site adaptation,so as to build an intensive design system of residential auxiliary primary schools to meet the needs of education.Among them, the types of teaching modules are summarized into formal learning spaces and informal learning spaces, and their functional spaces are explored in depth; From the two levels of boundary type and layout mode, the teaching space organization constructs a collection of spatial organization strategy modes through multi system interleaving, and makes quantitative research by using the spatial syntax software Depthmap; The site adaptation strategies are researched in the order of macro-complex,micro-complex and external integration. Finally, taking the design practice of Chunlei Primary School in Dalian as an example,a comprehensive research and application is carried out.The intensive design strategy of primary schools in residential areas to meet the needs of education proposed in this paper not only responds to the high-density intensive development of cities, but also complies with the new change of educational concept. This paper expands and supplements the research on the teaching space of primary and secondary schools in China, and provides solutions to the dual challenges brought to the teaching space of primary schools by the contradiction between the growth of educational demand area and the limitation of field area.
