| In recent years,the incidence of child sexual assault has been high in domestic criminal cases,and the malignant incidents of child sexual assault or sexual harassment have been increasing,which has aroused wide attention of people.However,there are few effective measures and practical actions to solve this phenomenon,especially in the rural areas with closed information and conservative thinking.There are few systematic sexuality education courses in rural schools,which makes rural children lack of opportunities to receive sexuality education.Influenced by local culture,parents hold a closed and conservative attitude towards sexuality education,and rural children are in a state of "losing power" in sexuality education.Therefore,it is very urgent to carry out sexuality education practice for rural children in accordance with the value concept of "empowerment" of social work.Empowerment in this study is both an achievable goal and a practical intervention.In the process of the practice of participatory sexuality education,the author uses observation analysis,reflective dialogue analysis and other methods to integrate the concept of empowerment into the practice of rural children’s sexuality education group.From September 2020 to July 2021,twelve rural children’s sexuality education practices were carried out in XH Village,X City.The specific practice included three stages: First,through three levels of observation,including parents’ informed consent meeting,children’s pretest questionnaire,and interviews on the current situation of sexuality education in schools,to understand the attitude of the place to rural children’s sexuality education practice.Secondly,based on the analysis of the survey results,the concept of empowerment was used to formulate the activity plan of "Rural Children’s Sexuality Education Group",and group activities are carried out for 36 children through situational performances,reading picture books,and family tasks.Finally,at the community level,children’s sexuality education garden fairs and “home-school” parent-child games were held in XH Village Primary School,inviting students,parents and teachers to participate together,and further expanding the practice field of rural children’s sexuality education to the familiar life of children in the situation.Through research and practice,the author explores effective ways for social work to achieve empowerment in rural children’s sexuality education practice;on the basis of fully satisfying children’s needs for knowledge of sex and gender,stimulate children’s potential and guide children form the values of self-protection,cherishing life,respecting others,and accepting the body;it has also promoted the liberation of rural children’s sexuality education in the local concept. |
