In recent years,the "younger" trend of depression has attracted people’s attention.The study found that the level of depression among junior high school students is higher,and negative life events may be an important factor affecting the depression of junior high school students.Therefore,this study takes junior high school students as the research objects,and investigates the impact mechanism of negative life events on junior high school students’ depression by means of a questionnaire survey.From the perspective of social work,it explores the methods and strategies of group work practice intervention to alleviate junior high school students’ depression..First,this study used random cluster sampling method to sample 419 junior high school students from nine classes in two middle schools in L city.By using the flow-based depression scale,negative life events scale,cognitive emotion regulation strategy scale and rumination Questionnaire survey was conducted on the research subjects with the Thinking Scale to investigate the current situation of depression among junior high school students,and to explore the influence mechanism of negative life events on junior high school students’ depression.The results showed that:(1)The detection rate of depression among junior high school students was40.81%.There were significant differences in gender and subjective social class,but no significant difference in grades.Among them,the detection rate of depression in girls is higher than that in boys,and junior high school students with lower subjective social class are more likely to have depression than those with higher subjective social class.(2)The results of mediation model analysis show that negative life events can not only directly affect depressive mood,but also indirectly affect depressive mood through the mediating effects of cognitive emotion regulation strategies and rumination.Secondly,according to the results of the investigation and research,aiming at the depression caused by negative life events,under the guidance of social learning theory and depression cognitive theory,based on the perspective of group work practice,this paper aims to reduce the occurrence of negative life events and guide junior high school students.Using adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and positive rumination thinking,methods and strategies to alleviate depression in junior high school students were proposed.On this basis,in order to improve the learning ability and interpersonal communication ability of team members,help team members to consciously adjust coping strategies when facing negative life events,and reduce excessive thinking about the events themselves,this paper designed 8 groups Work practice activity plan,and propose that in the process of needs assessment and specific practice,it is necessary to accurately grasp the similarities and differences between the overall needs of the team and the individual needs of team members,especially for the special problems faced by individual team members,which can be combined with case work method for individual intervention.
