| Objective: Sleeping plays an important role in the physical development and psychological development of adolescents, however, the current detection rate of sleep problems among adolescents in China is not optimistic,it is important to explore the factors affecting sleep quality and ways to improve it.This study constructed a moderated mediation model in which depression mediated the relationship between negative life events and sleep quality, and this mediation effect was moderated by resilience. Methods: Adolescent Self-rating Life Events Checklist Scale,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale,Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescents, and Children’s Depression Inventory Scale were used to investigate 1440 randomly selected junior high school students.Results:(1)Negative life events positively predicted sleep quality in middle school students;(2)Depression partially mediated between negative life events and sleep quality of junior high school students;(3)Resilience moderated the all path of the mediation. Conclusion: Negative life events not only directly affect the sleep quality of junior middle school students, but also indirectly affect the sleep quality through the partial mediating effect of depression;Resilience moderated the indirect path of negative life events affecting sleep quality.Suggestions: This study verified the joint effect of environmental, emotional and personality factors on sleep quality, which has important theoretical value and guiding significance for the intervention of sleep quality in junior high school students.Firstly, schools need to enhance students’ sleep health education.Secondly, students’ depression needs to be prevented and alleviated. Finally,we should improve students’ resilience and cultivate the quality of perseverance. |
