Cervical cancer is currently the second most prevalent cancer in women’s disease worldwide, second only to breast cancer in terms of incidence and mortality.Nowadays, the incidence of the disease is increasing and its deterioration is accelerating, causing physical and psychological effects to female patients.Surgery is the direct way to treat the disease, after surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are also used as complementary therapies, and the patient will suffer great physical pain and mental stress during the recovery phase.Under such high pressure for a long time, patients are prone to negative emotions, such as anxiety or depression. If negative emotions are not relieved,it will affect the quality of life of the recovering patient.Based on the research results, the author explores the main problems and causes of anxiety in early postoperative cervical cancer patients at present,as well as the methods of using social work expertise and skills to intervene with patients, exploring what changes in their emotions after social work intervention and how to effectively alleviate patients’ anxiety and improve their health and quality of life during recovery. In this study,a patient with stage II cervical adenocarcinoma was selected as the study subject. The case subject had completed radical cervical cancer surgery and radiotherapy and was in the stage of cancer recovery. The author conducted a case intervention to help the case owner relieve her anxiety during the recovery period.Through the interview, the client’s problems were predicted and the causes were analyzed, and a service plan was formulated based on the actual situation.During the intervention process, based on the strengths perspective, ecosystem and social support theory,we explore the strengths and stimulate the potential of the caseworker, guide the caseworker’s cognitive reshaping, help the caseworker form a good interaction with the ecosystem, improve the caseworker’s social support network, and alleviate the caseworker’s anxiety during the recovery period.
