Adolescent health promotion work is an important guarantee to ensure that adolescents can grow up smoothly into the backbone of society in the future,as the future hope of national prosperity and rejuvenation.According to relevant studies,the physical health of Chinese teenagers is deteriorating.In light of this issue,the state has implemented a number of policies to improve teenagers’ physical activity levels.We must pay attention to physical activity of junior high school students.The degree of satisfaction needs has a positive effect on the corresponding behaviors.As a result,it is critical to comprehend the fundamental psychological needs and physical exercise behaviors of junior high school students,as well as the relationship between them,in order to deconstruct the psychological state of junior high school students during physical exercise and diversify junior high students’ health promotion paths.This study employs the questionnaire survey method,selecting junior high school students in Shihezi as the investigation object,issuing 1000 questionnaires to students from five junior high schools of three grades in Shihezi city.After screening out invalid questionnaires,yielding a total of 928 valid questionnaires after data conversion and analysis.Analyze the basic physical psychological needs and physical exercise behavior of junior middle school kids,as well as the relationship between them,and draw the following conclusions:(1)The average score of junior high school pupils in Shihezi on the three dimensions of sports basic psychological needs is more than 5 points,indicating that they are in a relatively excellent shape.The total score of junior middle school students’ sports basic psychology needs varies by grade,with the total score of ninth grade sports basic psychology needs being the highest,followed by the total score of eighth grade and seventh grade sports fundamental psychology needs.(2)In Shihezi city,the average quantity of exercise for junior high school students falls into the middle range,with statistical disparities in gender,grade,and student source.Among them,the average score of physical activity of boys is higher than that of girls;The average score of grade 8 was the highest,followed by Grade9 and Grade 7.The amount of exercise of urban students is higher than that of rural students.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between the physical exercise psychological need and physical exercise behavior of junior high school students in Shihezi area.Sports autonomy and sports competence have positive and significant influence on the amount of exercise,while sports relationship has no positive and significant influence on the amount of exercise.According to the results,the following recommendations for improving the level of basic sports psychological demands of junior high school students and enhancing physical activity behavior are made:(1)The family,school,and society collaborate to ensure that students get enough physical activity.(2)Make the most of the policy dividend by making full physical education available to all stude nts.(3)Prioritize junior high school kids’ basic psychological requirements and improve their physical activity.
