Educational punishment is a method for teachers to regulate students’ behaviors.However,Senior high school students,in the period of pursuing individuality,are not afraid of being punished,while high school teachers show their unwillingness on punishment.The above phenomenon call for an urgent need of effective punishment.This study centered on the issue about how to effectively implement education discipline,against the backdrop of the Rules on The Punishment of Primary and Secondary Education(Trial)(2020).And it targeted D High School in Shantou city,Guangdong Province,and recruited from the teachers,students and their parents from D School as the investigation objects.After using SPSS24.0 to analyse the data of 960 valid questionnaires,including independent sample T test,one-way analysis of variance,multiple response crosstab and other methods to compare the differences of various population variables,the author concluded the current situation of Educational Punishment by comparing the results of non-participatory observation.Then,according to the differences and problems presented in the questionnaire and non-participatory observation,the author made some interviews with some teachers,students and parents,aiming to analyse the reasons behind,and then provide empirical evidence for the school moral educational management.Based on the results of surveys,interviews and non-participatory observations,the following conclusions were drawn:1.Students and their parents do not have a high degree of recognition of educational punishment;2.Some students dare not to use educational punishment;3.The educational punishment in D school is not effective.The reasons for the problems of educational punishment in D School are as follows: As for the students,they are less involved in designing the school rules and have a low degree of recognition of educational punishment.Moreover,some students are psychologically fragile and some students lack sense of rules and responsibility.As for the teachers,they lack systematic learning of laws and regulations and don’t know how to use educational punishment properly.Besides,they do not communicate effectively with the parents.As for the parents,they have a low degree of recognition of educational punishment and do not educate their kids well.As for the school,it do not have a systematic disciplinary training and management system and home-school joint supervision system.In view of the above conclusions,the author puts forward the following solutions: 1.Teachers should actively participate in the training and study of disciplinary laws and regulations,and improve the ability to use educational punishment effectively;2.Students should widely participate in the rule-making,and improve students’ recognition of punishment and awareness of rules;3.Strengthening home-school communication can improve the effect of punishment;4.Schools should strengthen teacher training and establish a Home-School Supervision Committee;5.Advocating the correct atmosphere of public opinion is very important;6.Parents should cooperate with teachers actively and constantly update the concept of education,and then improve the ability of educating their kids.
