| In 2019,the gross enrollment rate of higher education in my country reached 51.6%,officially entering the popularization stage from the popularization stage.Entering the stage of popularization,a series of changes have taken place in our country’s higher education,the competition in higher education has become more intense,and some new features such as diversification,individualization,diversification,and modernization have appeared.In the process of popularization,normal universities can only take a place in the fierce competition if they identify their positioning and characteristic development.At the same time,in the context of the new era,the characteristic development of normal universities also means quality development,which is the only way for normal universities to avoid homogenization..A variety of research methods were used in this study.First of all,using theoretical research,starting from the mission and responsibility of the normal university,summarizes the theoretical provisions of the development of the characteristics of the normal university.Secondly,three normal universities are selected to carry out case study on it,analyze the specific measures of its characteristic development in the practice process,and summarize the experience.Finally,the theory is combined with practice,and the characteristic strategy of running a normal university under the background of higher education popularization is proposed through comparative research.The research shows that the development of the characteristics of normal universities needs to focus on five aspects: the orientation of running a school,the construction of disciplines,the mode of talent training,the construction of the teaching staff,and the construction of campus culture.,the high-quality resources of the school are inclined to the teacher-training major,and the concept of serving basic education is established;from the perspective of discipline construction,it is necessary to develop discipline characteristics,build characteristic disciplines,and optimize the discipline layout;in the talent training model,it is necessary to cultivate High-level talents,explore diversified talent training models,and promote collaborative and cooperative education models.In the construction of campus culture,the campus cultural environment can be created by highlighting the normal culture and organizing characteristic professional activities.In addition,in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the characteristic development strategy of normal universities,two safeguard measures have been proposed,including broadening the sources of funding for universities,expanding the autonomy of universities to run schools,and establishing a mechanism for co-construction and sharing of high-quality resources. |
