The exploration of Higher Normal Education in China has covered more than a century. However, there still remain not a few problems. Tracing a specific eventful period (1933-1949) in its early history, this thesis is to present the fruits that South china Normal University offered to higher normal education. From the foundation of the normal college of Xiangqin university to the early period of Guangdong college of liberal arts and technology,ever sticking to a self-reliance and independent principle,students under his guidance,stipulated some practical management measures,and constructed a middle school teacher's training system with its own peculiar characteristics. They carried out some creative practices in the following aspects as the academic research,the educational field trip,the construction of attached school,and the social service. Their practice is the answer to Why there should be normal education and how to manage normal education .
