Poetic novels use the language,image and emotion of poetry to write novels.Because poetic novels have prominent artistic conception and strong poetic atmosphere,their aesthetic style is different from other types of novels.Many typical poetic novels are selected into the unified edition of senior high school Chinese textbooks,which bring students a brand new aesthetic experience.However,in practical teaching,the unique text characteristics of poetic novels are often ignored,and the teaching value fails to attract teachers’ attention,which leads to the low quality of poetic novels reading teaching.In view of the above problems,the author introduces the theory of reception aesthetics,and on the basis of in-depth understanding of the theory,discusses the application strategy of the theory of reception aesthetics in the teaching of poetic novel reading,in an attempt to provide new ideas for the teaching of poetic novel reading and improve the quality of the teaching of poetic novel reading in senior high schools.This study sorted out the research on poetic novels and reading teaching of poetic novels:sorted out the development course and aesthetic characteristics of poetic novels,and summarized the reading teaching of poetic novels from two aspects of teaching content and teaching methods.At the same time,this study elaborated the basic theory of reception aesthetics,analyzed the suitability of reception aesthetics theory in the teaching of poetic novel reading,and laid the theoretical foundation of this paper.This study takes "high school poetic novel reading teaching" as the research object,and according to the specific characteristics of poetic novel,it is guided by three branch theories of reception aesthetics: "reader-centered theory","vision of expectation" and "text calling structure".In the specific implementation,first of all,according to the above theory design questionnaire dimensions,questionnaire survey.Secondly,through the analysis of the questionnaire,it finds out the specific problems existing in the teaching of poetic novel reading by both teachers and students,and makes an in-depth analysis of the causes.Thirdly,in view of the above specific problems,under the guidance of reception aesthetics theory,the teaching strategy of poetic novel reading is put forward and the teaching practice is carried out: first,based on the "reader-centered theory",respect the subject status of students;Second,using the "vision of expectation" to improve students’ aesthetic ability;Third,focus on "summoning structure" and guide students to find and fill "gaps".Finally,the author draws the following conclusions: Based on the "reader-centered theory",arouse students’ enthusiasm in reading poetic novels,pay attention to the "vision of expectation" can improve students’ aesthetic accomplishment,grasp the "summoning structure" can promote students’ diversified interpretation of poetic novels.In addition,in order to better apply the reception aesthetics theory to the teaching of poetic novel reading,the author puts forward the following suggestions: on the one hand,teachers should grasp the boundary of multi-meta interpretation;on the other hand,teachers should deeply understand the aesthetic psychological characteristics of senior high school students.
