Dream of Red Mansions,as the pinnacle of Chinese classical novels,has extremely high literary and teaching value.It was compiled into the second volume textbook of Chinese for Grade One in the Ministry of Education,and it is one of the key bibliographies for reading teaching throughout the book.With the nationwide popularization of the "New Curriculum Reform",the entire book Dream of Red Mansions urgently needs to be fully entered into high school Chinese classroom teaching.However,the development of the entire book Dream of Red Mansions is still in the exploratory stage.How to complete this book in the limited class time the teaching of masterpieces is a difficulty and challenge faced by frontline teachers.After entering China in the 1980 s,Reception Aesthetics was introduced into the field of education to guide Chinese teaching and achieved fruitful results.The internal concepts of "Reader Center" and "New Curriculum Reform" advocated by this theory essentially have a point of agreement,and it also contains an entry point to explore the text.Therefore,this research attempts to introduce the theory of acceptance of aesthetics into the reading teaching of Dream of Red Mansions,in order to provide new ideas for the reading and teaching of the entire book Dream of Red Mansions.This research defines the three core concepts of "reader-centered theory","expected vision" and "calling structure" in reception aesthetics,and explores the applicability of reception aesthetics in the reading teaching of the entire book Dream of Red Mansions.From the perspective of the fit point of aesthetics and the "new curriculum reform",the internal reading requirements of high school students,and the blank points of Dream of Red Mansions,it is necessary and feasible to use reception aesthetics to guide the teaching of the entire book of Dream of Red Mansions.Since the reading teaching of the entire book Dream of Red Mansions has not been popularized nationwide,the author based on the introduction of the famous Dream of Red Mansions"in the teaching material of the People’s Education Edition,used questionnaire surveys and personal interviews to investigate the teaching situation of Dream of Red Mansions in Lanzhou high school.After data collection and statistical analysis,it is found that the current teaching of Dream of Red Mansions is difficult to read,and students’ interest is reduced;the purpose of reading is utilitarian,and the reading status is not optimistic;teachers lack accumulation and the teaching form is single;focusing on exam-oriented education,and the teaching effect is not good and other issues.Analyzing the problem from the perspective of receiving aesthetics,it can be concluded that the teaching process hinders the communication between readers and Dream of Red Mansions,ignores the students’ expectation vision,and does not pay attention to reader center.From the core point of acceptance aesthetics,in view of the accumulated abuses in the past teaching and the teaching hints of the "New Curriculum Standard" for the entire book of Dream of Red Mansions,the author actively constructed six teaching strategies.Under the guidance of the reader center,the teaching should be updated.Concept,to promote the communication between readers and Dream of Red Mansions;to be task-oriented,highlight the status of students as the subject of reading.Under the guidance of "expected horizons",we must use cross-media reading to mobilize students’ horizons of expectation;we must expand directional expectations and guide students to in-depth reading;we must stimulate innovative expectations and protect students’ individualized understanding.Under the guidance of the summoning structure,the imagination of students should be stimulated to fill in the blanks of "Dream of Red Mansions";reflective teaching should be carried out to prevent excessive teaching.
