| Objective:Physical activity has been widely recognized as an intervention to promote physical and mental health, which can prevent or reduce physical aggression in children and adolescents. However, the question of why physical activity can prevent physical aggression in children and adolescents has not been fully revealed, especially for the special group of upper primary school students.Based on the analysis of the relationship between physical activity,self-control,emotion and physical aggression of senior primary school students, this study adopted the questionnaire survey method and focused on fitting the chain mediating role model of self-control and emotion in the influence of physical activity on physical aggression of senior primary school students,so as to provide scientific basis for enriching the theory of physical exercise preventing adolescent aggression. Methods:A stratified sampling method was adopted to select 1350 senior primary school students(grades 4 to 6)in Jiangsu Province to conduct a questionnaire survey. On a voluntary basis, they filled in "Adolescent Physical Activity Questionnaire","Adolescent Self Control Dual-System Scale","Positive and Negative Emotion Scale for Children",and"Adolescent Aggression Scale",and finally obtained 1276 sets of valid questionnaires after screening out questionnaires that did not meet the standards.SPSS26.0 and AMOS24.0 software were used for statistical analysis of the collected data.Results:(1)The scores of physical activity,self-control,emotion and physical aggression were all at the average level of the scale;(2)Boys scored higher than girls on physical activity, positive emotions and physical aggression, and girls scored higher than boys on self-control;The scores of physical activity and positive emotion of sixth grade students were lower than those of fourth and fifth grade students.Students from non-single parent families scored higher on self-control than those from single parent families, and students from single parent families scored higher on negative emotions and physical aggression than those from non-single parent families.(3)The results of regression analysis showed that physical activity explained 8%of the variation of physical aggression,self-control explained 10%of physical aggression, and anger rumination explained 5%of aggression.(4)Physical activity has a direct effect on the physical aggression of senior primary school students. It can also indirectly affect the level of physical aggression of senior primary school students through the two mediating variables of self-control and emotion.Conclusion:(1)The physical activity,self-control,emotional and physical aggression of senior primary school students were at the medium level;(2)The level of physical activity, positive emotion and physical aggression of male students was higher than that of female students, and the self-control ability of female students was higher than that of male students; The level of physical activity and positive emotion of sixth grade students is lower than that of fourth and fifth grade students; The self-control ability of students from non-single parent families is higher than that of students from single parent families, and the level of negative emotion and physical aggression of students from single parent families is higher than that of students from non-single parent families.(3)High physical activity, high self-control,high positive emotion, low negative emotion of senior primary school students, low level of physical aggression, physical activity can directly prevent the physical aggression of senior primary school students, but also indirectly through the influence of self-control and emotion play a role in preventing physical aggression. |
