Study On Comprehensive Benefit Of Chengdu Marathon

In recent years,social and economic development has been rapid,and people’s living standards have been improved.Participation in sports has gradually become a lifestyle advocated by the public.Marathon is popular among the public because of its advantages such as small number of participants,small restrictions on the city as the track venue,wide range of participants and wide range of ages.While the marathon race continues to rise,it also exposes some problems,such as the chaos of the event organization and management,avoid safety accident happening,the serious homogeneity of the event and the need to improve the economic benefits.This paper takes the comprehensive benefits of Chengdu Marathon as the research object,adopts four research methods: literature,interview,field investigation and mathematical statistics,and follows the principles of feasibility,scientificity and integrity of the research to understand the background,route,level and development status of Chengdu Marathon.The comprehensive benefit of Chengdu Marathon is analyzed from two dimensions of economic benefit and social benefit.The results are as follows:(1)The economic benefit of Chengdu Marathon consists of direct economic benefit and indirect economic benefit.Direct economic benefits include event registration fee income,sponsors’ sponsorship income and event derivatives related income;Indirect economic benefits include the consumption of players in Chengdu during the competition and the commercial investment brought by the competition.According to the research,although there is a certain gap between Chengdu Marathon and Beijing Marathon,Shanghai Marathon and other old marathons in economic benefits,but with the rich experience in running the race,the economic benefits are constantly improving.(2)The social benefits of Chengdu Marathon are mainly reflected in the dissemination of traditional culture with Chengdu characteristics,the impact of the event on the life of Chengdu citizens,the impact of the event on the promotion of local tourism and the impact of the event on public welfare,etc.(3)Through analysis,this study found that there are still some problems in the operation process of Chengdu Marathon,such as the economic benefits to be improved,the gap between the positioning of the event and the development status quo,and the lack of long-term unstable planning of the event operation right,so there is still a lot of room for progress in the long-term development of the event.(4)On this basis,the sustainable development countermeasures and suggestions of Chengdu Marathon are put forward as follows: improving the operation and management level of Chengdu Marathon and improving the economic benefits of the event;Identify the positioning of the event and narrow the gap between the positioning and the status quo;Stabilize the operation right of the event and help the long-term development of the event.
