The Influence Of Creating Short Tourism Videos On The Re-socialization Of Older People

As China accelerates into an ageing society,older people have gradually become the focus of attention in the digital age.Retired older people faced with the problems of disengagement from work-related social roles,reduced social participation,narrowed social networks,etc.One of the breakthroughs to overcome the current plight of older people is to encourage and facilitate their "re-socialisation".This means helping older people to adapt to social life in a new era,including updating values,improving behavioural norms and enhancing social knowledge skills.Based on the literature review of the media use,media influence and re-socialization of the elderly,this paper took TikTok as the main research platform,comprehensively used in-depth interviews and participatory observation methods,and took the elderly tourism short video creators over 60 years old as the research objects.It constructed the research framework from "environment re-integration","subject re-identification","relationship re-construction".Firstly,from the level of "environment reintegration",we analyzed the particularity of the new social participation environment created by short tourism video creation for the elderly group,and analyzed the path to realize the environmental reintegration by dismantling the whole process of short tourism video creation.Secondly,from the level of "subject re-identification ",we analysed the emotional expression of the elderly in short tourism videos,and summarized the significance and value of short tourism videos on the construction of the subjectivity of the elderly.Thirdly,from the level of "relationship reconstruction ",we understood the online interaction and social interaction of the elderly based on short tourism videos,and analysed the impact of short tourism videos on various social relationships of the elderly.This study found that the creation of short tourism videos is a social practice which can combine social participation and digital technology closely.The creation of short tourism videos plays an important role in strengthening the social participation and promoting the learning of new technologies for the elderly,which helps to promote the "re-socialization"process.Firstly,the creation of short tourism videos helps the elderly to develop a new social participation environment,which not only expands their radius of life,but also enriches their online social participation.Secondly,the creation of short tourism videos helps the elderly to construct a positive image,strengthen their emotional identity,recreate the value of older people’s resources,and regain a sense of social participation and contemporary identity.Thirdly,the creation of short tourism videos can not only help older people maintain the stability of "Strong Ties",open up topics between parents and children,and improve parent-child relationships;it can also expand "Weak Ties",enrich their social activities and strengthen their social connections,thus facilitating their successful resocialisation.
