Mathematics textbook is an important tool to implement mathematics curriculum standards,convey mathematics subject knowledge,guide teachers’ teaching and lead students’ learning.Under the guidance of the General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition),the new textbook has deleted part of the content about "calculus" and enhanced the status of "calculus" in the senior high school mathematics curriculum.So what are the changes in the preparation of "calculus" in the new and old textbooks? What features does the new textbook present? How do teachers and students view and use the new textbooks? How to use new textbooks to teach and learn better?This paper takes the "Calculus" part of the new textbook of Mathematics Optional Compulsory 2 of 2019 PEP version A and the old textbook of Mathematics Optional 2-2 of 2007 PEP version A as the research object.Based on the interpretation of the General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)and the General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(Experiment).The paper uses the methods of comparative analysis,statistical analysis and questionnaire survey.Firstly,it compared the layout design,style structure and arrangement order of the old and new textbooks from a macro perspective,and reached an overall understanding of the two editions of textbooks.Then,from the micro perspective,the mathematical concept,principle presentation way,teaching difficulty,mathematical culture and the use of information technology are compared in depth,and the similarities and differences in the "calculus" content of the two editions of textbooks are analyzed.By comparing,we can find the writing features of the new textbooks:The new textbook improves the layout design to enhance the readability of the textbook,plans the stylistic structure to highlight heuristic learning,balances the overall structure of the curriculum to avoid knowledge fragmentation,optimizes the presentation of mathematical concepts and principles,improves the comprehensive difficulty of exercises to highlight the selectivity of mathematics curriculum and highlights the deep integration of mathematics curriculum and information technology.After having a comprehensive understanding of the new and old textbooks,a questionnaire survey was carried out on teachers and students.The purpose of the teacher’s questionnaire is to understand the teacher’s satisfaction with the content of "calculus" in the old and new textbooks the use of the new textbooks.The purpose of the student’s questionnaire is to understand the students’ use of "calculus" content in the new textbook and the teachers’ teaching situation.Finally,suggestions and strategies for teaching and learning are put forward.Teachers should guide students to experience the process of mathematical knowledge exploration and cultivate the core quality of the subject,strengthen the penetration of mathematics culture in teaching,pay attention to the integration of information technology and mathematics education and actively carry out literature reading and mathematics writing activities.Students should give full play to the function of exercises in the textbooks,summarize in time to form knowledge structure,cultivate independent learning ability and adopt a diversified approach to self-evaluation.
