Child friendliness refers to promoting the comprehensive development of children physically,mentally,emotionally and socially by providing a safe,healthy,equal and inclusive environment.This is an idea and method proposed to meet the needs of children’s growth and development,aiming to create a good living environment and conditions to protect and promote the rights of children.As children’s rights were gradually valued,the concept of child friendliness emerged and gradually developed into an important global concept of human rights governance.Child-friendly space is a concrete practice of implementing the concept of child-friendly.It is to fully consider children’s needs in space design and planning,so as to create a space suitable for children’s growth and development.Kindergarten as the main place of children’s life learning,found that kindergarten outdoor game space in children friendly problems,improve kindergarten outdoor game space children friendly status quo,optimize the layout of kindergarten indoor and outdoor space,focus on children’s space demand and experience,create suitable for children’s kindergarten space,is of great significance to improve children in the happiness of the garden.Through the relevant policies,standards in existing research and child-friendly outdoor play space,Construct standards for a child-friendly kindergarten outdoor play space,And based on this standard,R Kindergarten in Y City was selected as the case study object,Observe the overall layout,planning and design of the kindergarten,Interview principals and teachers to understand the use rules of outdoor game space and their understanding of child-friendly concepts,And use the Mosaic method to let children take pictures,painting and so on to understand children’s needs for outdoor game space,Then from the kindergarten’s outdoor game space environment planning,space layout,facilities and materials,game development,space experience and other aspects of its child-friendly status.Through investigation,it is found that there are big problems in the kindergarten,including:lack of standardization in space environment planning and location,low green coverage rate,insufficient naturality;lack of scientific space layout,low space utilization rationality,limited children’s accessibility;lack of diversity,insufficient quantity,low security;lack of richness,insufficient adventure,low children’s participation;pay attention to children’s space demand,children lack of positive space experience.In view of the above problems,this paper proposes the following optimization strategies to improve the current situation of children:to create pro-natural game space,enhance the naturality of space;optimize the space layout,improve the accessibility of children’s space;provide diversified and sufficient space facilities materials,and regular replacement and maintenance;enrich children’s game types,increase adventure game space;improve children’s participation,and improve children’s space experience.
