A prosperous culture brings prosperity to a country,and a strong culture brings prosperity to a country.It is imperative to strengthen cultural confidence and protect the spiritual home of the people.Reading is an important way to provide spiritual support for social culture.The new Chinese curriculum standard of compulsory education in2022 puts the whole book reading as an extended learning task group,and more and more scholars and front-line teachers are engaged in the practice and exploration of the whole book reading teaching.Primary school is a critical period for students to develop habits,to help primary school students develop love of reading,reading good books,reading the good habit of the whole book will benefit students for life.The new curriculum standard has made clear and systematic provisions on the specific content and teaching tips of the whole book reading teaching in primary schools according to the learning section,indicating the direction of the whole book reading teaching in primary schools,and conforming to the expectation of promoting the comprehensive development and lifelong development of students.The teaching of the whole book reading is an important direction of the development of Chinese teaching.Many primary school teachers have explored the teaching practice of the whole book reading,but there are still some problems in the practice teaching.Some teachers still use the traditional teaching method of single article reading to carry out the teaching,and do not make a good distinction between the teaching of the whole book reading and the traditional single article reading.At present,the whole book reading teaching has not formed a comprehensive and unified teaching model and assessment standards,which makes the development of the whole book reading teaching has certain limitations.Scaffolding teaching is a mature teaching model based on constructivism and the area of proximal development.It has been widely used in English,chemistry,mathematics and other subjects.This study applies the scaffolding teaching mode to the teaching of reading the whole book.On the premise of respecting the principal position of students,it provides a scaffold for students’ independent reading,integrates teachers’ teaching with students’ active reading,and provides specific teaching strategies and operating steps for the teaching of reading the whole book.The first part of this study is an overview of scaffolding teaching.The second part is based on the idea that scaffolding teaching is conducive to the implementation of the new Chinese curriculum standards of compulsory education,guide students to master a variety of reading strategies and analyze the value of scaffolding teaching applied to the whole book.The third part is the survey of the reading status of the whole book in primary school,using the method of questionnaire survey and interview to investigate the reading teaching status of the whole book in the second learning section of primary school Chinese;The fourth part is the analysis of the existing problems and reasons of the whole book reading teaching in the second section of primary school Chinese;The fifth part explores the application of scaffolding teaching strategy in the whole book reading teaching of Chinese in primary school;The last part is the analysis of the examples of teachers applying scaffolding teaching to the whole book reading teaching,combining the concrete process of scaffolding teaching to provide reference examples for the practice of the whole book reading teaching in the second learning section of primary school Chinese.
