During his visit to Anyang,Henan Province,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed and pointed out that the spirit of the Red Flag Canal should be used to educate the people,especially the youth,and that the spirit of the Red Flag Canal should be carried forward.The spirit of Red Flag Canal is a great spirit formed by the people of Linxian during the construction of the Hongqi Canal under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,and its basic connotation is "self-reliance,hard work,cooperation and selflessness".As a valuable spiritual treasure of the Chinese nation,the spirit of the Red Flag Canal is rich in connotation and continues to grow with the times.It has outstanding educational value,and its integration into the teaching of high school Civics is not only conducive to the ideological and political education of high school students,but also to the inheritance and development of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal.The article is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction to the article,which explains the background and significance of the research.In the second part,the basic connotation and nurturing function of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal and the theoretical basis for its integration into the teaching of high school Civics are elaborated.In the third part,the necessity and feasibility of integrating the spirit of the Red Flag Canal into the teaching of high school Civics and Political Science classes are explained.In the fourth part,through questionnaires and interviews,the current situation and problems of integrating the spirit of the Red Flag Canal into the teaching of high school Civics and Political Science classes are explored.It is found that in the process of integrating the spirit of the Red Flag Canal into the teaching of high school Civics and Political Science classes,there are problems such as teachers’ low motivation to study the spirit of the Red Flag Canal and students’ lack of knowledge of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal.The reasons for this may be related to the lack of organic integration of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal with the teaching content and the lack of interest of students in learning the spirit of the Red Flag Canal.In the fifth part,in view of the current problems and causes,the integration of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal into the teaching of senior secondary school Civics classes is further discussed at three levels: teachers,students and schools,in order to provide countermeasures for the better integration of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal into teaching.In the sixth part,a case study on the integration of the spirit of the Red Flag Canal into the teaching of high school Civics and Political Science classes is designed to provide a reference for actual classroom teaching. |
