| In the context of today’s rapid development of information technology and increasingly fierce international competition,deep learning has become a necessary ability for students to be competent for work and civic life in the 21 st century.Therefore,how to promote students’ deep learning and develop their deep learning ability in teaching has become an important issue for educators.From the perspective of the mechanism of deep learning,learning context is an indispensable condition for deep learning to occur,and it is worth considering how to give full play to the teaching effect of context creation,which is a teaching method in line with modern education philosophy and often used by teachers,in keeping with the times.Therefore,the study of creating learning contexts based on deep learning theory and using them to promote students’ deep learning is of great theoretical and practical significance.In this study,we review the literature to analyze the current status of research on deep learning and context creation,analyze the relevance of deep learning and context creation,and the feasibility of using learning contexts to promote deep learning in high school IT classrooms.Based on constructivist theory,contextual cognitive theory,metacognitive theory and distributed cognitive theory,we combine the stages of deep learning,create corresponding learning contexts with the mechanism of deep learning in each stage,and follow the basic process of project-based teaching in IT courses to build a context creation model,and propose specific context creation methods for the context system in the model.Then,three rounds of action research were conducted with the students of a senior high school(8)class in H city as teaching practice objects.Each round of teaching practice process was reflected on and used as a basis to improve the learning context creation model and method.Then,through a comprehensive analysis of the pre-test and post-test of the deep learning ability scale,item test question scores,and interview results,the effect of deep learning-based learning context creation was summarized.The study concluded that the use of deep learning contexts in high school IT classrooms is beneficial to students’ understanding of deep knowledge and complex concepts;it helps students develop deep learning skills,including collaboration,communication and expression,self-directed learning,perseverance,and creative thinking skills,while critical thinking skills are not significantly improved.In addition,the use of deep learning-based learning contexts in high school IT classrooms is also beneficial in stimulating positive affective attitudes among students. |
