| Mathematical operation ability is one of the three traditional abilities of mathematics education in China.Mathematics curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2011 edition)puts it as one of the ten core words,and Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2022 edition)continues to take it as the core quality.This study focuses on the investigation of the current situation of junior one school students’ mathematical operation ability.First of all,through literature review,the study understands the current research status of mathematical operation ability.Based on Professor Lin Chongde’s classification of mathematical operation ability,mathematical operation ability is divided into three levels:level 1 is understanding,level 2 is mastery and application,level 3 is synthesis and evaluation.By referring to the preparation of test papers and questionnaires by relevant scholars,the test papers and questionnaires for this study are determined.Through the implementation of the test,the present situation of the junior one students’ mathematical operation ability is obtained.The overall level of students in Grade one is Level 2.There are significant differences in students’ mathematical operation ability in school and ability component dimension,but no significant differences in gender dimension.There is a significant positive correlation between the level of students’ mathematical ability and students’ ordinary performance.Students have the following problems in the process of mathematical operation:Can’t understand the operational objects;Ignore the understanding of arithmetic,forget and confuse the arithmetic rules;Unable to flexibly choose the appropriate calculation method;The design of the calculation program is not correct.Based on the test paper,questionnaire and interview,it is concluded that the factors affecting mathematical operation ability include:(1)student factors:cognitive structure and non-cognitive factors;(2)teacher factors:teaching philosophy and teaching behavior.Based on the influencing factors,the study puts forward some teaching suggestions to improve the mathematical operation ability of junior one students:(1)improve the cognitive structure;(2)make good use of non-cognitive factors;(3)Change teaching philosophy and teaching behavior. |
