Mathematical operation ability is the ability to obtain operation results accurately by mastering and applying arithmetic theory and algorithms. The Ministry of Education clearly stated in the "Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)" that it is necessary to attach importance to the cultivation of students' mathematical operation ability.Mathematical operation ability,as one of the "three major abilities" of mathematics, plays an important role in mathematics teaching. However, during the internship process, the author found that many teachers lack a comprehensive understanding of mathematical operation ability and the training method is relatively single. There is an urgent need to improve the training method of junior high school students' mathematical operation ability. Therefore, the author took some junior high school students in A and B schools in Changchun as the research object, and used the literature analysis method, test survey method, questionnaire survey method and interview method to conduct research.By analyzing the test paper results of junior high school students, the author found that many students have problems such as low-level errors in computing, weak basic knowledge, and incomplete computing processes. After sorting and researching the results of the questionnaires and interviews,it was found that these problems were caused by many factors.First of all,the cultivation of junior high school students' mathematical operation ability is easily ignored by teachers.Teachers are the guides of students' learning and play a vital role in student learning.Teachers ignore the cultivation of students' computing habits, neglect arithmetic and the teaching of algorithms will cause many problems for students in computing. In addition, students' low interest in mathematical operations, low attention, and frequent use of calculators are also the important reasons for this problem.First of all,in this research, the students in the second and third grades of Changchun City A and B were selected as the research objects to carry out the investigation and research on the status of mathematical operation ability.Through a general analysis of the current situation of junior high school students 'mathematical computing ability, the differences in mathematical computing ability between different grades and different genders are compared, and the typical errors in junior high school students' test results are summarized. After researching and analyzing the above problems, the author put forward specific teaching suggestions based on the actual situation of teachers and students.Firstly, teachers should pay attention to the teaching of arithmetic and algorithms, improve teaching methods, establish the connection between new and old knowledge, and help students understand the meaning of operations.Secondly,to strengthen the training of students 'variants, teachers should select typical exercises with progressive difficulty to improve students' mathematical operation ability in a targeted manner so that students at different levels can make up for shortcomings.Thirdly, teachers should pay attention to the cultivation of students' computing habits. In the teaching of computing, they should write a written demonstration of the computing process to help students develop a testing habit and play the role of teachers in solving problems. In correcting assignments, teachers should correct students' calculation habit promptly. Finally, teachers need to pay attention to the cultivation of non-intellectual factors, increase the interest in computing teaching to help students increase computing interest, encourage students actively, and enable students to build self-confidence in computing problems and have a strong will to solve problems.
