A Study Of Medical Social Work Servives For Family Care Of Patients With Schizophrenia

According to 2018 survey data from the Mental Health Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention,the number of severe mental disorders in China has reached 16 million,of which the number of people with schizophrenia has exceeded 6.4 million.With the number of patients with mental disorders increasing year by year,the problem of psychological and behavioral disorders becoming increasingly serious,and severe mental disorders have been widely valued by the medical community,the family care work of patients has also begun to attract social attention.Under the influence of China’s "family culture",family care must be the most important way of care.In the process of long-term care,the physical and mental health and socio-economic problems of caregivers should be the focus of attention.However,at present,insufficient attention has been paid to the specific service work of family caregivers,and the participation of social support forces such as social organizations is even more lacking.In view of this,this study took family caregivers of patients with schizophrenia as the research subjects,and relied on the rehabilitation service project for patients with severe mental disorders to conduct one-year internship life in Chongqing Yuzhong District Mental Health Center.During the period,with the help of medical staff,68 families of schizophrenia patients in Yuzhong District,Chongqing were visited,and the specific steps and methods of research work were determined on the basis of combing the relevant literature on family care and medical social work intervention in family care of patients.Through questionnaires,semi-structured interviews and interviews with family caregivers,we learned about the problems,needs and burdens of caregivers and families in daily care.Then,from the perspective of family system theory,according to the various needs of schizophrenia caregivers,targeted medical social work professional services are carried out,and the effectiveness and results of medical social work intervention in the family care of schizophrenia patients are explored and summarized in the service process.Finally,this study puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the service effect: first,focus on the difficult pain points of family care and respond to the physiological health needs of family caregivers;Second,provide professional guidance on family care,focusing on the mental health needs of family caregivers;Third,actively coordinate multiple resources and pay attention to the economic needs of family care;Fourth,enhance the emotional support of family members and create a good family care environment.
