Schizophrenia is a common mental illness. With the continuous increase in the prevalence of schizophrenia in my country, the social burden is gradually increasing.Accordingly,my country has promulgated laws, such as the "Mental Health Law of the People’s Republic of China","National Mental Health Work Plan(2015-2020)","Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline, and "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening Mental Health Services",etc.Regulations and policies, and advocate social work and other non-medical professionals to participate in the rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders,in order to protect the rights and interests of patients with mental disorders.Patients with schizophrenia during rehabilitation are marginal and disadvantaged groups in society. The impairments in cognitive, emotional, and physical functions caused by the illness have led to the deterioration of their social functions, insufficient social skills, and difficulty in integrating into society.Empathy,as a psychological indicator to improve the interpersonal skills of patients with schizophrenia during rehabilitation, can be improved through professional services, which in turn helps patients communicate with others, improve social functions, and actively integrate into society. In this study, patients with schizophrenia in the rehabilitation period in Kunming X institution were used as the research object. The quasi-experimental design was used to conduct baseline measurement of the patients through interviews and questionnaires.Based on the results of the patient’s needs assessment, the members of the experimental group and the control group were determined.Under the guidance of interpersonal psychoanalysis theory, empathy theory and recovery theory, empathy is used as an intermediary variable to improve the interpersonal ability of patients, using group work methods to carry out empathy training for the experimental group, supplemented by case work Working with the community,by improving the empathy of the experimental group, and then enhancing its interpersonal skills.According to professional ethics requirements, basic education will be carried out to the control group after the end of this study. Finally,a comprehensive use of quantitative and qualitative methods,on the one hand, measure the differences in IRI-C and SAD scale scores between the experimental group and the control group;on the other hand, use a multi-party evaluation method to work with the research subjects, family members, and institutions.Analyze the evaluation data of personnel, community members, observers, and social workers to test the effectiveness of the service. The comparative analysis of non-parametric tests in this study found that the difference in IRI-C and SAD scale scores between the experimental group and the control group was not significant at the time of the pre-test,indicating that the experimental group and the control group are in empathy and interpersonal skills.Have homogeneity. In the post-test,the total score of IRI-C in the experimental group was higher than that in the pre-test(7.14±4.81 VS.0.04±2.13,P<0.05),and the total score of social anxiety in SAD decreased(-5.57±3.20 VS.-1.25±3.61,P <0.05),all reached the significance level. The control group did not change significantly. The results of qualitative analysis also showed that the empathy and interpersonal skills of the experimental group were improved after the intervention. This study concludes that empathy training can improve the empathy ability of patients with schizophrenia during rehabilitation, and can promote the improvement of patients’ interpersonal skills.Although the intervention has a certain effect, there are still shortcomings. The empathy training program referred to in this study is developed based on the normal population.Although a lot of targeted modifications have been made,it still needs to be improved and perfected. The author suggests that empathy training for patients with schizophrenia during rehabilitation should continuously optimize the content and form, and improve the empathy ability of patients through long-term and diversified intervention services, thereby enhancing interpersonal skills and promoting social integration.
