| With the promulgation of the "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)",the new curriculum standards require Chinese language teachers to create rich and diverse learning contexts.The situational teaching method has been incorporated into middle school Chinese language teaching since the 1980 s and has been extensively studied in other literary fields.However,when it is applied to the field of modern novel teaching in middle school,there are still problems such as insufficient investigation of the current situation and the detachment of strategy research from teaching practice.Therefore,this paper aims to explore the specific situation of the application of situational teaching method in the teaching of modern novels in junior high schools,conduct in-depth investigations into the current teaching situation,identify problems and their causes,and strive to provide feasible strategies for situational teaching of modern novels in junior high schools.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is an introduction,which explains the background of the topic,literature review,research methods,and research significance.The second part provides an overview of the basic theory of applying situational teaching method to junior high school novel teaching,exploring the theoretical basis of novel situational teaching and the applicability of situational teaching method to junior high school novel teaching.The third part conducts a survey on the teaching of modern Chinese novel reading in junior high school through questionnaires and interviews.The fourth part explores the current problems and their causes from the perspectives of both teachers and students.The results showed that due to teachers’ misunderstanding of the concept of situational teaching,failure to timely learn the latest connotations of situational teaching,insufficient respect for students’ subjective status,more attention paid to the cultivation of students’ abilities in the context of the middle school entrance examination,and failure to carry out situational teaching based on learning situations,teacher situational creation has become a mere formality,neglecting the development and utilization of situational resources,and situational classroom interaction cannot meet students’ needs The problem of low participation of students in situational classrooms and difficulties in implementing situational classrooms.The fifth part proposes specific implementation strategies of situational teaching method in modern novel teaching in junior high school.That is,to enhance teachers’ ability in teaching novel situations;Teachers should fully develop and utilize diverse situational resources;Pay attention to students’ expression needs and build a situational classroom for teacher-student interaction;Bringing students closer to the classroom and creating an immersive situational classroom;Optimize the student structure and enhance the effectiveness of situational teaching in novels.This study investigates and analyzes the situation of situational teaching in modern Chinese novel reading in junior high school,exploring the practical problems and causes of the problems in situational teaching of junior high school novels.The aim is to add some theoretical significance to situational teaching of novels,and provide some feasible suggestions for improving the effectiveness of situational teaching of junior high school novels. |
