In today’s world,technological innovation is changing rapidly,and talent is becoming increasingly fierce.Facing continuous challenges,we must recognize the urgency and importance of improving our nationals’ quality and cultivating innovative science and technology skills.To enhance students’ creative spirit and practical ability and develop 21st-century talents aligned with the development of the times,a compulsory course,Integrated Practical Activities,was established in June 2001.With the rapid growth of the times,ICT literacy has become a necessary interdisciplinary literacy for every student in the information age.Coupled with the universal application of information technology,talents with creative thinking and clever,creative work can survive in the information age.In September 2017,the Ministry of Education issued a notice on the Guidance Outline of Comprehensive Practical Activity Curriculum for Primary and Secondary Schools,proposing to divide design and production activities into information technology and labour technology.The comprehensive practical activity curriculum responds to the requirements of the development of the times and keeps pace with the information age.However,the objectives of the integrated applicable activity curriculum are broad,and the teaching contents are blind and arbitrary,making it difficult for the integrated practical activity curriculum to cultivate innovative talents.The OBE concept is consistent with the teaching needs of comprehensive practical activities and highly matches complete practical exercises.Therefore,the teaching design of integrated practical activities in elementary schools based on the OBE concept has essential research value.Firstly,this study adopts the literature analysis method and proposes the necessity of OBE concept to guide the integrated practical activities in elementary school after analyzing the OBE concept and the educational practice research of integrated practical activities at home and abroad;secondly,based on the Taylor principle,the theory of classification of educational objectives and the theory of multiple intelligences,and based on the four implementation principles of OBE concept(clear direction,reverse innovation,expanded opportunities,high expectations)and the teaching process based on OBE concept(defining learning outcomes,achieving learning outcomes,evaluating learning outcomes,and applying learning outcomes),the teaching design process of comprehensive practical activities in elementary school based on OBE concept was summarized,and the theme of information technology in the design and production activities was combined with the graphic programming "Star Wars" as an example.Finally,the student’s learning outcomes were measured by questionnaires and post-tests,and interviews understood the students’ gains to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of the teaching design of OBEbased integrated practical activities in elementary school.The final practice results showed that after the implementation of the OBE concept-based teaching design for integrated practical activities in elementary school,there were significant differences in the learning outcomes of the pre and post-test of the study participants,and the learning outcomes of the posttest were significantly higher than the learning outcomes of the pre-test.The learning outcomes of the dimensions of the post-test were considerably higher than those of the pre-test measurements.Through the course satisfaction survey and student interviews,it was found that the study participants were delighted with the learning experience,indicating the feasibility and effectiveness of the teaching design of integrated practical activities in elementary schools based on the OBE concept and this study can provide some reference for the curriculum development and practice of IT-themed activities in integrated practical activities in elementary schools.
