Research On The Spiritual Comfort Of Elderly People Living Alone In Cities Through Social Work Interventio

With the rapid growth of the elderly people population in China and the deepening of the aging degree,the problem of the elderly has been paid more and more attention by the public.With the development of economy and the population mobility of small families,more and more elderly people live alone.In this situation,the problem of spiritual comfort for elderly people living alone is increasingly prominent.How to help elderly people living alone cope with the crisis of lack of spiritual comfort is urgent problem to be solved.This paper mainly focuses on the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone in the city.In the process of visiting X community,interviews were conducted with randomly selected elderly people living alone to understand the current situation of spiritual comfort for them.It is found that they have great spiritual needs,which are mainly manifested in emotional support,social communication and self-worth realization.Through the analysis of the reasons for the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone,it can be seen that due to the influence of subjective and objective factors such as weak self-regulation ability,changes in family structure and obstacles in social communication,the elderly living alone are greatly hindered in obtaining spiritual comfort.Therefore,under the guidance of the social support theory and activity theory,an elderly people living alone in X community is taken as the object of service and individual case service is provided for him.Combined with the actual situation of the service object,social workers have carried out specific services from improving the awareness of strengthening the examination and communication,and realizing self-worth,so as to achieve the purpose of soothing the negative emotions of the elderly living alone,improving their interpersonal communication ability and improving the surrounding social environment.This case service practice shows that,in the first,social workers through the use of professional theories and methods and skills,focus on the individual problems of the service object,and according to the real-time assessment of the service object flexibly and timely adjust the service plan,so as to help the service object to broaden the channels to obtain spiritual comfort,strengthen social support,to meet their spiritual comfort needs.Second,there will be ethical dilemma often in the process of practice,which require a high level of professional quality of social workers.If the ethical dilemmas cannot be handled properly in time,professional relations will be affected.
