For the development of schools in eco-migrant areas,principals are the key forces for the revitalization of education and balanced development of education in eco-migrant areas.China has a vast territory and many cities have eco-migrant areas.Currently,there are many studies on teachers and students in the education system of eco-migrant areas,but there is a lack of research on the role of principals in eco-migrant areas.This paper goes deep into the ecological migration region H in Ningxia,conducts an investigation and interview on the primary school principals in the ecological migration region,and analyzes the role of primary school principals in the ecological migration region in different development stages and the characteristics of their roles in different development stages from four aspects:school construction,teacher team,teaching work and student training.What are the reasons that lead to such role evolution of primary school principals in eco-immigration area?Finally,on this basis,the future role evolution trend of primary school principals in eco-immigration area H is expected.This paper mainly uses historical research method,supplemented by literature method,interview method and observation method.On the basis of the possession of the literature,this paper elaborates the evolution course,characteristics and reasons of the role of primary school principal in the area of H ecological migration,as well as the future prospect of the role of primary school principal in the area of ecological migration.First of all,this study mainly adopts the historical research method.Through interviews with 33 primary school principals and other relevant personnel in the eco-migrant area,combined with a large number of local historical data,the education development in the eco-migrant area H is divided into two stages:the initial stage and the development stage.On this basis,the role process of primary school principals in the H-area is described in detail.Then,through the analysis of the role history,the characteristics of the role of primary school principals in different stages of ecological migration areas are summarized from the three aspects of work content,work objectives and work methods.Specifically,the characteristics of the role in the initial construction period mainly include work content emphasis on"quantity",work objectives emphasis on "stability",and work methods emphasis on "independence".The characteristics of the role in the development period mainly include "quality" in the work content,"newness" in the work goal and "democratic" in the work mode.Then,the internal and external reasons for the evolution of primary school principals in eco-migrant areas are analyzed.The internal reasons are the enhancement of principals’ role awareness,role ability and regional sense of belonging,and the external reasons are educational funds,policy formulation,government assistance,training exchange and pioneering spirit.Finally,it looks into how the role of primary school principals will evolve in the future,and provides reference for the role evolution of primary school principals in other eco-migrant areas.
