| Background:The results of the eighth National Survey on Students Constitution and Health in 2021 showed that the physical fitness of Chinese college students was still in decline,and the physical health of college students was worrying.Maintaining normal weight is extremely important for personal physical health,and abnormal weight such as low weight,overweight and obesity will cause great harm to physical health.At present,most of the intervention studies on abnormal weight in college students are carried out on overweight,obesity and other groups,and there are few related studies on low weight college students.However,low weight can induce a variety of diseases to varying degrees,and low weight is also related to the occurrence of osteoporosis,fracture and scoliosis.So how to choose a safe and effective exercise way to improve the health status of low weight college students is very important.Objective:In order to improve the physical health of underweight college students,this study measured and evaluated the body composition,bone mineral density,muscle strength and physical health of underweight college students by formulating an elastic band resistance training program,and to explore the intervention effect of elastic band resistance training on the physical health of underweight college students.Methods:This study used literature review method,experimental method,mathematical statistics,logical analysis and other research methods.A total of 32 underweight college students were recruited from Minzu University of China and randomly divided into experimental group(n=16)and control group(n=16).Each group included 8 males and 8 females.The experimental group was given elastic band resistance training for 10 weeks,3 times a week,90 minutes each time.The control group was given aerobic exercise training for 10 weeks,3 times a week,90 minutes per class.The test data before and after the intervention were analyzed by paired sample t test.Results:1.In the experimental group,the body fat rate and body fat content after the test were significantly lower than those before the test(p<0.01),and the muscle content and fat free mass after the test were significantly higher than those before the test(p<0.01).2.The T value of bone mineral density in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the pre-test(p<0.05).3.The back muscle strength,shoulder muscle strength,thigh muscle strength and calf muscle strength of the experimental group were significantly improved after the test(p<0.01),but there was no significant difference in grip strength(p≥0.05).4.The weight index scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the pre-test(p<0.01),Body mass index(BMI),standing long jump,50 m run,pull-ups(male),one minute sit-up(female),1000 m run(male),800 m run(female)and other indicators after the test were significantly higher than those before the test(p<0.01),but there was no significant difference in height,vital capacity and sitting and bending performance(p>0.05).Conclusion:The 10-week elastic band resistance training has a positive effect on the physical health of underweight college students.The training intervention can improve their body composition,bone mineral density,muscle strength and exercise ability. |
