Core literacy has become one of the hot issues in the education circle.Intuitive imagination literacy,as one of the six core literacy of mathematics in junior middle school,has also attracted wide attention.However,at present,most domestic researches on visual imagination literacy focus on the theoretical level,and there are few researches on the teaching practice of visual imagination literacy in junior high school.In order to cultivate the visual imagination literacy of junior high school students,this study selected the students in junior high school as the research object,based on the educational measurement,analyzed the measurement data,put forward effective teaching strategies to cultivate the visual imagination literacy of junior high school students,and tested its effectiveness through teaching practice.The practical research on the cultivation of visual imagination literacy firstly measures the development of ninth grade students in a middle school in Inner Mongolia from three dimensions of content,structure and cognition,and then collects the measured data.The results show that(1)the overall level of visual imagination literacy of junior high school students is below the middle level;(2)Junior high school students’ visual imagination literacy scores at all levels are relatively balanced;(3)The overall level of visual imagination literacy of junior high school students has a strong correlation with the final math scores.According to the specific data analysis,the teaching strategies to cultivate the visual imagination literacy of junior high school students are put forward:(1)to stimulate cognitive conflict and strengthen the consciousness of drawing;(2)To understand the essence of the function and understand the function image;(3)Grasp the nature of graphics and pay attention to drawing standards;(4)Improve the observation ability with the help of geometric models;(5)Application of educational technology,experience dynamic and intuitive;(6)Clear chart function,help problem analysis.Secondly,according to the above teaching strategies,the content of the complete square Formula in the second section of the Multiplication Formula,Chapter 14,Volume 1,Grade 8 of the Human Education Edition is selected to compile the teaching design.The experimental class and the control class are taught at the same time.After the teaching,the two classes are tested to analyze and compare the final data and verify the effectiveness of the proposed teaching strategies.Finally,the content of this study is summarized,and it is concluded that the measurement of visual imagination literacy is credible,and the proposed teaching strategy is effective and conducive to the cultivation of visual imagination literacy.
