The "Opinions on Further Reducing the Homework and Off campus Training Burden of Students in Compulsory Education Stage"(referred to as "Double Reduction")was released in July 2021 and promoted and implemented throughout the country.Therefore,"double reduction" has become a collective term for a series of policies formulated by the country to reduce students’ homework burden and after-school tutoring.Homework design is an important part of Chinese language teaching,which can help students consolidate existing knowledge and observe their learning status.In the past,Chinese homework was mostly in the form of a "one size fits all" approach,without considering various factors such as students’ intelligence,family,growth environment,personal preferences,etc.Compared with traditional Chinese homework,layered homework would be more effective and practical in the teaching process.This article conducts research based on the following methods: I.An investigation and analysis were conducted on the objective situation of seventh grade Chinese homework in A Middle School in Nanning City;II.Deeply explore the understanding of hierarchical homework among seventh grade teachers and students of A Middle School in Nanning City and Chinese language teachers teaching on the front line;III.Based on the survey results,strategies for carrying out stratified Chinese homework were explored.This article focuses on the stratified Chinese homework situation of seventh grade students in A Middle School in Nanning City,and uses methods such as literature collection,questionnaire survey,and interview survey to investigate them.During the investigation process,the author personally participated as much as possible,distributed and collected questionnaires,and conducted interviews with some students and teachers,striving to comprehensively,truthfully,and exhaustively describe the current situation of Chinese stratified homework for seventh grade students in Nanning A Middle School.After investigation,it was found that the Chinese homework for Grade 7 of A Middle School in Nanning City basically meets the learning needs of most students,but there are still some homework problems: homework is heavy and homework difficulty is low;The form and content of homework are relatively single;Homework is usually designed for the majority of students,and the actual situation of a few students has not received sufficient attention;Lack of students’ awareness of autonomy;Teachers did not fully understand the concept of hierarchical homework;Teachers lack understanding of the disciplinary nature of Chinese homework;The consistency of homework assessment can have a certain impact on students’ learning motivation.In order to better achieve layered homework in practical teaching,the author proposes the following improvement suggestions based on the background of the "double reduction" policy: 1.Teachers determine the concept of designing layered homework from four perspectives: student perspective,teaching perspective,evaluation perspective,and homework perspective;2.Schools need to provide training to help teachers improve their ability to design layered assignments and allocate teaching tasks reasonably;3.In response to the problems reflected by students in their homework,a Chinese layered homework design strategy based on students’ actual needs is proposed: based on students’ special needs,hierarchical division is carried out;According to the characteristics of different students’ learning situations,the difficulty of homework was graded;Divide different homework objectives according to the categories of Chinese language teaching content;Ensure the effectiveness of homework and implement hierarchical control of workload;The content of homework design should be rich,and the forms of homework should be diverse;4.Adopting a diversified evaluation content,evaluation form,evaluation language,and evaluation feedback Chinese language evaluation system.
