Autism is currently one of the fastest-growing categories of children with special education needs. The latest "14th Five Year Plan for the Development and Improvement of Special Education" explicitly encourages areas with conditions to establish autism schools, providing effective education and intervention for children with autism who have social communication, speech development, and behavioral barriers, which is an urgent problem to be solved. In recent years, many researchers have proposed that improving the abilities of children with autism requires a focus on executive function.Executive function refers to the psychological process in which an organism consciously controls thoughts and actions, and its essence is to monitor and regulate other cognitive processing processes. From the perspective of whether there is emotional participation, the executive function is divided into "cold" executive function and "hot" executive function.Previous studies have mostly focused on the study of "cold" executive function, specifically exploring the characteristics of inhibition, refresh, and conversion functions, lacking research on "hot" executive function. This study will explore the executive function characteristics of children with autism from two dimensions: "cold" and "hot" from a comprehensive perspective.Design intervention plans based on the results of characteristic research to compensate for the current situation of emphasizing characteristic research over intervention research, especially the lack of hot executive function research. This study consists of two parts: the first is a study on the characteristics of cold and hot executive functions in children with autism;Study 2 is an intervention study on cold and hot executive function in children with autism.Study 1 includes two research groups, with 30 children with autism and ordinary children paired with IQ as subjects,to explore the characteristics of cold executive function and hot executive function in children with autism.Research 2 develops an intervention plan, selecting a child with autism for intervention research, using a single subject experimental design to explore whether the intervention plan can improve the level of cold and hot executive function. The following conclusions were drawn from this study:(1)Children with autism have significantly lower accuracy and reaction time in cold executive tasks such as day/night Stroop,N-back,and DCCS,The reaction time was significantly higher than that of ordinary children, indicating a deficiency in cold executive function.(2)Children with autism score significantly higher in the hot executive function task:delayed gratification task compared to ordinary children, indicating a deficiency in hot executive function.(3)Interventional training through gaming can enhance children’s cold and hot executive functions. This study proposes the following educational recommendations:In terms of schools, establish a professional team of intervention teachers;Integrate advanced intervention technologies both domestically and internationally;Promote planned implementation of interventions;Strengthen home school cooperation. In terms of family: attach importance to early intervention;Create a good environment;Help improve self-control.
