Objective: The increasing pressure of learning and life has squeezed out the physical activity and sleep time of high school students, leading to a downward trend in their physical health level. This study investigates the physical activity, sleep quality, and physical health of high school students, examining the differences between gender and grade, and further exploring the relationship between physical activity, sleep quality, and physical health. This provides a new perspective and basis for high school physical education teachers to address students’ healthy behaviors in teaching.Method: This study surveyed 374 high school students from 3 high schools in 3 cities in Guangxi.Using the methods of literature review, questionnaire survey, testing and mathematical statistics, this study selected the Adolescent Physical Activity Questionnaire(PAQ-A)and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)as the survey tools, and conducted a physical health test according to the National Student Physical Health Standards.Using methods such as independent sample T-test and one-way ANOVA,analyze the differences in physical activity, sleep quality, and physical health among high school students of different genders and grades; To examine the correlation between physical activity, sleep quality, and physical health among high school students through Pearson correlation analysis; Finally, linear regression was used to explore the effects of physical activity and sleep quality on physical health levels.Results:(1)In terms of physical activity level scores of high school students, there is a significant difference(P<0.01)between male students(2.43 ± 0.78)and female students(1.83 ±0.51)in terms of gender. In terms of grade, there was also a significant difference(P<0.01)between the second year of high school(2.25 ± 0.75),the first year of high school(2.08 ± 0.68),and the third year of high school(1.86 ± 0.61).(2)In terms of gender, the sleep quality score of high school students is significantly higher in girls(8.55 ± 2.46)than in boys(6.94 ± 2.67),indicating a significant difference; In terms of grade, there was also a significant difference(P<0.01)between the third grade(8.57 ± 2.42),the first grade(7.81 ± 2.51),and the second grade(7.42 ± 3.05).(3)High school students scored higher in terms of physical health than girls(75.54 points)in terms of gender, with no significant difference(P>0.05);In terms of grade, there was a significant difference(P<0.01)between the second year of high school(78.55 ±7.07),the third year of high school(76.48 ± 7.66),and the first year of high school(72.32 ±6.38).(4)There is a negative correlation between physical activity and sleep quality in high school students(r=-0.669,P<0.01),a significant low degree positive correlation with physical health(r=0.166,P<0.01),and a low degree negative correlation between sleep quality and physical health(r=-0.126,P<0.01).(5)Regression analysis found that physical activity and sleep quality have predictive effects on physical health(P<0.05).Physical activity is positively correlated with physical health scores. As the level of physical activity improves, physical health scores are also increasing. There is a negative correlation between sleep quality and physical health. As the score of sleep quality increases, the total score of physical health decreases, and the level of physical health decreases.Conclusions:(1)There were differences in gender and grade of physical activity and sleep quality of high school students; There were no differences in physical health between sexes, and there were differences between grades.(2)Physical activity was positively correlated with sleep quality, physical activity was negatively correlated with physical health, and sleep quality was negatively correlated with physical health.(3)Physical activity and physical health have a predictive effect on sleep quality.
