A Study On Group Work To Relieve Employment Anxiety Among Fresh University Graduate

With the continuous development of higher education in China,the number of college graduates is in a state of increasing year by year in recent years;against the background that the problem of high unemployment rate in the past has not yet been solved,fresh college graduates will face even greater competitive pressure for employment.According to the data released by the Ministry of Education,the number of ordinary college graduates in 2022 is over 10.76 million,and more than 85% of them are post-00 s,the children of heaven in the eyes of every parent.Nowadays,the employment environment is not very optimistic,and this series of factors have caused employment anxiety among fresh university graduates.This study analyzes the current reasons affecting the employment anxiety of fresh college graduates by using questionnaires and interviews with some of the fresh college graduates from Jinggangshan University as a sample.The interviewees were screened for employment-induced anxiety according to the SAS Self-Assessment Scale for Employment Anxiety.According to the interviews,they were found to have different psychological,behavioural and physical manifestations of employment anxiety,such as poor appetite,insomnia and internal resistance,etc.In-depth analysis revealed that they had reasons for fear of the unknown,excessive pressure from social relationships or themselves,and lack of mobility.They are faced with three needs: to discover their own strengths and overcome their fears;to seek social support to meet their spiritual needs;and to improve their deficiencies and increase their mobility.To address these issues,the author actively linked resources and prepared a plan to select eight clients to carry out seven sessions of group work to relieve employment anxiety.During the group formation period,a strong relationship of trust was established with the clients;during the transition period,interaction and sharing were used to allow the clients to find out the causes of their anxiety;during the group maturity period,the clients were provided with ways to explore their own strengths,seek social support and enhance their mobility,and a goal contract was signed during the fourth group activity to enable the clients to participate more actively and ensure the The service effect of the group maturity period;consolidate the service effect of the group service in the end group period.At the end of the group work,the social worker assessed the achievement of the group’s goals by using the impact assessment method.It was found that the use of group work helped to relieve the employment anxiety of fresh university graduates,helped fresh university graduates to explore their own strengths and boosted their self-confidence in facing employment;explained the relevant policies to fresh university graduates,publicised the work done by the school on the employment of fresh university graduates,gave them social support and met their spiritual needs;and enhanced their mobility.Power.Although the group’s work has achieved some success in helping fresh university graduates to relieve their employment anxiety,compared to the continuous expansion of universities in China,but against the background of the unemployment rate,there will be more and more fresh university graduates with employment anxiety in the future,and social workers will continue to follow up and serve such situations.
