| The "village to house" community,as a special product of the transition from traditional rural settlements to modern urban communities,has led to the breaking of the acquaintance society linked by blood,kinship,and clan relationships.The elderly in the "village to house" community have problems in community life,such as distant neighborhood relationships,lack of mutual assistance behavior,low participation in community activities,and a lack of sense of belonging to the community.Therefore,it is particularly important to break down the communication barriers between neighbors,build a social support network between neighbors,improve the activity organization system,enhance the frequency of communication and interaction,and help elderly people in the "village to house" community adjust and adapt to neighborhood relationships.This study focuses on the adjustment of neighborhood relationships among elderly people in the community of X Village in J County.The article uses social interaction theory and interpersonal needs theory as theoretical guidance,and adopts methods such as questionnaire surveys and non structured interviews to investigate the adjustment of neighborhood relationships among elderly people in village to residential communities.It is found that firstly,elderly people generally have characteristics of fixed thinking,weak acceptance ability and learning ability,which makes the elderly group face difficulties in the process of "village to residential" community life,Especially in terms of adjusting neighborhood relationships.Secondly,changes in spatial structure hinder communication and communication among the elderly,resulting in significant estrangement and estrangement in neighborhood relationships;Personal attributes such as migration,income,and education level lead to frequent conflicts in the process of getting along.Thirdly,the traditional neighborhood functions are weakened,and when encountering difficulties,they no longer actively seek help from their neighbors.Fourthly,the lifestyle has been disrupted and there is a lack of belonging to the new environment.To help elderly people in the "village to house" community better adjust their neighborhood relationships,this article designs seven group activities.During the group activities,social workers play roles such as managers,guides,coordinators,and supporters,helping group members increase the frequency of communication and interaction;Face up to the importance of neighborhood relationships;Improve communication methods and enhance communication skills;Create a harmonious neighborhood atmosphere and promote traditional neighborly culture;Enhance a sense of belonging and happiness towards the community.Ultimately,the effective adjustment of neighborhood relationships among elderly people in the village to residential community will be achieved,laying a solid foundation for the promotion of village to residential work.Through the implementation of practical activities and the evaluation of the effectiveness of group activities,it was found that group work has built a communication and interaction platform for the elderly in the "village to house" community,created a harmonious living environment,helped the elderly break down barriers,increased communication frequency,improved communication methods,and effectively promoted the adjustment of neighborhood relationships.The author also summarized and found based on the specific situation of practical implementation that service activities should be in line with the particularity of the local village to residential community;The group activities are tailored to the actual needs of the local elderly. |
