Ethnic music culture is an important branch of the traditional Chinese culture,showing China’s national confidence and cultural self-confidence,while ethnic instrumental music as an important carrier of China’s ethnic music culture,more and more primary and secondary schools have integrated the teaching of ethnic instrumental music in the music classroom,taking the learning of ethnic instrumental music as an important classroom content in the music classroom,guiding students to understand ethnic instrumental music and stimulating the learning of ethnic instrumental music This is an important element in the music classroom.The Erhu is one of the most important representatives of folk instrumental music.It is a monophonic melodic instrument of great musical expression and folk characteristics,and is popular with the public.The Erhu is a difficult instrument to play and requires a high level of skill in terms of intonation and rhythm.In this paper,through field research and visits,the Erhu school-based course at Baisha Road School is used as an example to investigate the current state of its teaching,test students’ existing Erhu playing levels and analyse the findings.It is hoped that on this basis,the students’ playing skills will be improved,and strategies and suggestions that can be implemented in the actual teaching of the Erhu school-based curriculum will be put forward to provide some ideas and insights into how to teach folk instrumental music in junior high schools,so that folk music culture can be passed on.The paper is divided into four chapters,with the introduction including the significance of the study,a review of domestic and international research,and a definition of the research content.Chapter 1,focuses on the investigation and analysis of the current teaching situation of the Erhu school-based curriculum in Baisha Road School,including the skill level test of students and interviews with teachers.Chapter2,in response to the findings and problems,studies classroom teaching strategies and designs teaching practice cases.This includes analysis of the learning situation,teaching principles and teaching methods;Chapter 3,analysis of the teaching effects after carrying out the teaching strategy situation;Chapter 4,some pedagogical reflections on carrying out the erhu school-based curriculum.
