With the formulation of the Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)(later known as the 2022 Art Curriculum Standards),the basic sections of primary and secondary schools have been redivided, which mentions the importance of music theory knowledge in junior high school. As an integral part of music theory knowledge, music reading teaching is an important content that needs to be studied in the current junior high school music education. And in the 2022 art curriculum standards, students are required to have preliminary notation ability,be able to identify the rhythm, beat, melody and the characteristics of its common musical expression elements, and be able to sing simple musical scores. However, there are still many problems in the current teaching of music reading in junior high school, and how to improve the quality of music reading teaching for junior high school students under the condition of meeting the task of music teaching has become the primary research and solution direction of music teaching."PDCA" cycle theory is a quality management theory proposed by Dr.Deming,an American quality management expert. Its working principle is to improve the production quality level through the cycle detection of P(Plan,Plan),D(Do,Execution),C(Cheek,Inspection)and A(Action,Summary). This working principle is relatively consistent with the needs of improving the quality of reading in junior high schools. In order to better monitor the teaching process of music reading of junior high school students and improve the efficiency and quality of music reading teaching, this paper attempts to apply the quality management theory "PDCA" cycle theory to the music music teaching of junior high school. The thesis mainly discusses the contents of five parts. The first part discusses the era background of the development of spectrum reading teaching in classroom teaching under the curriculum standards,as well as the purpose, significance and methods of the research, and sorts out the relevant literature. The second part mainly expounds the related concepts of spectrum reading teaching and "PDCA" cycle theory, and elaborates with the theoretical support of the integration of teaching evaluation, optimization of teaching process, zone of proximal development and process evaluation. The third part, taking the junior high school students of Shenzhen Qiaotou School as the survey object, used the questionnaire survey method and interview method to carry out empirical investigation and analysis on the current school spectrum reading teaching situation, and summarized the current spectrum reading situation from the obtained data and interviews aspects of the problem. The fourth part analyzes the feasibility and application principles of the integration of "PDCA" cycle theory into spectrum reading teaching, and puts forward the construction strategy of "PDCA" cycle in spectrum reading teaching from three levels.Spectrum goals and corresponding teaching methods;2.Add classroom evaluation and stage detection;3.Increase teaching remedial methods. In the fifth part, this paper discusses the teaching design in the "PDCA" cycle process with three-stage teaching cases, and proves that the "PDCA" cycle mode can effectively improve students’ ability to read music by comparing test scores, and expounds the research experience and deficiencies. This study explores the integration process of the "PDCA" cycle and spectrum reading teaching, aiming to explore new ideas for monitoring the quality of spectrum reading in junior high schools,so as to promote the effective improvement of junior high school students’ spectrum reading ability, with a view to providing a basis for similar research in the future.Scholars provide useful reference and reference.
