Prose teaching has been placed in the core position of Chinese reading activities in junior middle schools.Learning prose will help the students to improve their abilities of emotional expression,creative imagination,logical thinking,aesthetic consciousness and so on.However,prose is different from novel and drama,which can quickly attract students’attention.The structure of prose is free,and it emphasizes artistic conception and appeal.After combing prose from the middle school Chinese textbooks complied by the Ministry of Education and reading the related literature,the author analyzes the types and content characteristics of the selected prose in Chinese textbooks complied by the Ministry of Education,and finally found the situational teaching,a teaching method which has strong inspiration and infection,is helpful in prose teaching.Compared with the traditional teaching method of reading,situational teaching can stimulate students’ learning motivation,enhance their reading experience and help them grasp the text as a whole.It is meaningful to combine the situational teaching method with prose teaching in junior middle school.In the process of the study,through the questionnaire survey,the author found that there are some problems in situational teaching activities of prose teaching in junior middle school,such as false " Prosperity" in class,difficulty in expressing the personality of prose,and low participation of students in class.The main reasons are that the teachers can not grasp the characteristics and goals of situational teaching of prose,some teachers still have the old teaching ideas which neglect the students’ status,and the pressure of the high school entrance examination leads to the utilitarianism of the prose teaching.Regarding to the present problems,the author combines the actual teaching cases with the contents of interviews with front-line teachers,The author puts forward suggestions from four aspects:"Individualized teaching design " " Multi-channel situational teaching " " Enlightening the mind from the situation" and "Promoting learning from the situation ".It makes the"Feeling","Thinking" and "Beauty" more outstanding in situational teaching of prose in Chinese textbooks complied by the Ministry of Education for junior middle school.
