Research On Role Selection In Children’s Role Games

Role play has the educational value of enhancing children’s social role cognition,understanding social role relationship and exercising children’s social ability.The role selection is an important link in the role game.The influence of role play on children is different in different role selection environments.In this paper,non participatory observation and interview methods were used to study the role play of 6 classes in 2 kindergartens in Taiyuan.Each class was observed twice,12 times in total,312 times in total.Based on the data obtained from observation,the status quo of role selection themes,role selection methods,role selection types and role selection motivations in role games for children are analyzed.Based on the status quo survey,this paper further explores the influencing factors of children’s role selection.The research results show that the influencing factors of children’s role selection are divided into internal and external factors.The internal factors are mainly children’s age,personality and gender differences.The external factors are mainly role game theme,role game materials and teacher intervention.On this basis,this paper believes that in the aspect of role game theme,role play theme and children’s role selection weak relevance,the content of role game theme is relatively simple,and the role game theme has not been updated for a long time,which limits children’s role choice.In terms of role play materials,too few role play materials and slow replacement frequency limit children’s role selection.In terms of teacher intervention,children’s independent role selection and teacher guidance mechanism lack of restrictions on children’s role selection.According to the results of the discussion,this paper puts forward suggestions to improve children’s role selection.In terms of improving the foundation effect of role game theme on role selection,this paper believes that we should reverse the game theme based on role selection,realize multiple role game theme and update the game theme around role selection.In terms of enhancing the supporting effect of role game materials on role games,it is necessary to select game materials around the role and improve the supply frequency of role game materials.In terms of improving the guidance of teachers on role selection,this paper believes that we should improve the independent role selection mechanism and the role play teacher guidance mechanism.
