As the “Chinese culture fever” has warmed up,more and more foreigners are learning Chinese and are interested in Chinese culture.Language is the carrier of culture.As a second language,The teaching of Chinese is not only a language teaching but also a kind of culture teaching.Chinese folk culture has a close relationship with people's lives,it is deeply embedded in people's language,life,and behavior.Developing folk culture teaching in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language has far-reaching significance to improve teaching effectiveness.But in the past teaching process,culture teaching,especially folk culture teaching,has not received enough attention.The paper takes the folk culture teaching as the research object,and makes teaching case analysis for the culture factors teaching in integrated classes and folk culture teaching in culture classes in Thai Chinese teaching center Saraburi school.Based on the existing teaching achievements,some issues were rethought and discussed,hoping to provide some reference for the folk culture teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The whole paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the explanation of the reasons for the topic,the research background and the purpose of the research.The research ideas and methods of this paper were also revealed in this part.The second part is a brief introduction for overview of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and Chinese folk culture.The status and importance of folk culture were analyzed in teaching Chinese as a foreign language from the relationship between language and culture,and the significance was discussed for development of folk culture teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and exploration of teaching methods and teaching principles.The third part is the teaching case analysis of Thai Chinese teaching center Saraburi school.The problems existing in folk culture teaching in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language were analyzed from the case practice,and how to select folk culture knowledge were analyzed in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The forth part is a briefly explain for the influence of cultural differences on second language acquisition.The problems and difficulties in the folk culture teaching were analyzed from the perspective of cultural differences,suggestions and teaching reflection were propsed finally.The fifth part explains the viewpoint of the paper from the overall review.The folk culture teaching as a key part was explained in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and the importance and effect of folk culture teaching was summarized in the context of culturaldifferences in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The shortcomings of the research were indicated at last.
